Our dining room had a very dark look to it when we moved in. I repainted everything and mixed and applied the turquiose venetian plaster on the walls. It's not your usual color for a dining room, but it works here. I mixed the traditional dining room table with the 100+ year old antique buffet, added a touch of modern with the paintings and the brightly colored walls, and finally added the zebra rug for a touch whimsy.
