We did a complete remodel of our kitchen & dining room in the 40-year-old, ranch-style house we purchased last summer. We installed custom cherry cabinets, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and all new lighting (under-cabinets, pendants, recessed). We replaced the old flooring with ceramic tiles that look like terra cotta. We removed the popcorn ceiling and wood paneling on the dining room walls, and gave the walls a new look. It was long and rough process, but well worth the sweat equity!
