Does anybody know what the fate was of the two pitbulls signed over to the ACC by the owner from Sacramento? Either I missed that segment or they might have been put to sleep because they were trained to fight. They both seemed like such happy chappies when the cops picked them up. Any insight would be grealy appreciated.
By the way, I think the Animal Cops are to be commended. Not such an easy job regardless of your stance on putting animals to sleep under various circumstances.
I somehow missed the ending to that story as well, and would like to know. They really did seem like sweet dogs and I liked how the officers just picked them up. Maybe they were used as bait rather than fighters, or are just other animals or younger dogs used as bait. Maybe I don't really want to know.
That was soo sad about those poor dogs. Runge said that the one was only about 1 1/2 yrs. old. Did you see how much their tags were wagging when she came near them? They were just crying out for help! The poor other one was just hiding behind the fence... you could see he/she was scared. I have absolutely no tolerance for people who do such horrible things to animals. I was so happy to see that they took them knowing they would definitely get to a better place than that one. Did you see and hear how they were chained right near their feces?
as a pittbull owner im always so shocked to see the way these dogs are treated!!!! what kind of person could do this to these dogs... they are the most loving animals, i would never give my dog up.. possibly animal shealter an law inforcement should make it manditory to have a back ground check and be 21 yrs to own pitts, that way they could possibley get a handle on this!! im always sad to see the get put down..
I am just getting around to comments for Animal Cops San Francisco. The first episode I saw had pit bulls, and several following. I was VERY disappointed how pit bulls were 'labeled' like they created their situations themselves and were awful animals. They appear biased on the breed which is not what I ever expected from a show like this - I love all the others. I am not sure if this show is even still on (I wouldn't watch it anyway), but I would not be highlighting the methods of animal protection officers in San Fran because they appear uneducated on the issue that it is the DEED not the BREED. It is one thing to explain why a dog acts a certain way - but nothing is explained how they got that way. Misrepresentation of the situation.
