I think the show was pretty good. The Monday show revealed that like in the Detroit animal cops shows that there is problems with people raising dogs for fighting (although I don't know why it surprises me). I think in New York was it the rooster fights that were the problem there? Anyway, I think the show was fairly good. The rescued six puppies from a supposedly abandoned home where two illegal squatters were raising a pit bull mother to fight. Sadly they were unable to apprehend the squatters, who stole the mother as well. Sadly only half of the litter survived since most contracted a disesase that affects only puppies. That was slightly disheartening. A pit bull female attacked another dog and a man who intervened. Later at court the owner and friends begged the court not to uthenize the dog, but since the attack was so extreme on the dog and human (the man received permanent damage to his left arm and tendons), that for the safety of the public the court had the dog put down. A cat was found in San Fransciso that had been missing for seven years, 3,000 miles from its home in Florida. The microchip technology helped them to find the owner, who was really happy to get her cat back. Hope that helps. -Chaosdreamer
On the new show last night, the lady that rescued the puppies in the abandoned apartment made a statement that I do not agree with or maybe I misunderstood. She was concerned that one of the puppies would have a bad temperment because it was "pinning" another puppy. All puppies do this. I have fostered a couple of litters and when the play, the pin each other. It is a form of play and also, they are creating a pecking order so to speak. My gosh.....are they not supposed to rough-house and play?
I was not happy to see the show focus on some guy who has a bunch of constrictors. I can feel for the dogs and cats and other animals suffering real neglect and mistreatment. But I just watched an episode in San Fran where they bust this guys chops for owning some snakes. But none of the snakes they showed were obviously mistreated, and none of them were dangerous (capable of causing more than a minor flesh wound to a human). It seems that they think the public is too stupid to distiguish between animal cruelty and the less than rational fear of snakes. I've spent a fair amount of time with various animals (and have been biten on many occasions). I would much rather get a mean bite from a ball python than from a toy poodle!! I find it totally unrespectable that this show is exploiting and glamorizing the fear of reptiles and the moronic laws based on such fear.
I think this show is a chilling example of animal rights vs. animal welfare and unfortunately more of the former than the latter. Tonight they destroyed a small dog that I personally would have taken in and retrained. IMHO it was just murder. I have been and am involved in animal rescue, foster homing, adoption, training, etc. And have been for years. For shame!

They busted the guy because it is illegal to own the snakes in that county plus he was dealing in them. They never said he mistreated them. The officers only enforce the laws, they don't make them.
Hi there, I loved the show, however, so many are complaining. This ignorant owner, kept letting her dog bite others, it was her fault, not the dog, and the people whom are complaining have never been biten nor have they had their children biten. We all love dogs and cats and our animals, but where does the line draw? They were doing their job to protect us and our families so shut up complainers, if you don't like the show, turn the channel!!!!!!!!!! I love it, not to mention its my home town and its refreshing to see the help where ever its needed. Have fun watching it sweetie, you will like it, don't listen to negativity, its great!!!!
THE OWNER OF ALL THOSE SNAKES COULD GIVE ONE DAMN ABOUT THOSE SNAKES, HE IS IN IT FOR THE MONEY, HE WAS BREEDING THEM LIKE RABBITS, HOW DO YOU KNOW HOW HE TREATED THEM, WERE YOU IN A CAGE WITH THEM?, HE LIVES IN ONE OF THE MOST EXPENSIVE CITIES IN THE U.S. AND HE WAS A MONEY HUNGRY BREEDER AND THATS IT, AND HE BROKE THE LAW AND JUST WHAT HE DESERVES, WE LIVE IN A LAW ABIDING STATE, DON'T LIKE IT, MOVE. AND HAVE A NICE DAY!!!!

I keep my snakes in a similar manner to the way the man on the show did and have been pursuing herpetoculture for 14 years. Judging from the footage of the snakes shown, I say they were in excellent condition. It is a shame that such an ignorant law exists. Please do not make false accusations about that man for the mere fact that he happened to be breeding some of the snakes.
