I joined a website by the name of Cafemom. I was sent a invite from a women who's screen name is takehomechef247. She has in her bio that her name is Jessica and she is married to Curtis. She writes that they are the parents of 2 sets of twins. The children are 15 months and under a year. Her bio includes a picture of Curtis and her. It also has a picture of a basset hound and a rottweiler. The picture of the dogs seem to almost look like pictures from a breeder magazine. She says they have been married since 2005. If this is true, why would TLC have him talk about being single on almost every show. Every bio I have read says he is single. Chef's on other cooking shows talk about their families. I hope TLC and the Take Home Chef set the record straight. I have watched the show from the start and don't care if Curtis is married but I think the show should be honest with the viewers. Part of the shows appeal is this handsome, single guy with a great accent. Come on TLC and Curtis, Is he married or is he single? Otherwise he has a wife and family he is not aware of. That's a recipe for trouble!
Hey THC fans! This is NOT true! This gal was definitley trying to pull one over on you. If you check that website and look up the screen name, she's not even listed anymore. People say and do bogus things all the time it seems. Just to discredit someone. And Curtis does not deserve all the speculation. And his private life isn't our business. But just don't be so quick to believe anything that anyone tells you on the internet! People really need to get a life and just enjoy the show!
It looks like Cafe mom did their homework and the person who posted the message is no longer a member. I am a huge fan of the show and I am glad that someone looked into this. I only posted this so someone would check it out. Many people in the public eye have had bad things happen to them by obssesive fans. I do have a life and I respect Curtis's life and his privacy. I did not believe the post, I only wanted someone to be aware of it so could be handled the right way by the right people. So I will get on with my life, continue to enjoy the show, make the recipes and wish the best for The Take home Chef and his fans. I am sorry I offended the person who replied. I wanted the person who posted the message to be held accountable for her actions. Nothing more.
Hey JK2660- Girl, I never meant YOU! I was speaking in the terms of the ridiculous girl who made up the story to get a life! NOT by any means you! I realize you posted to make others aware of it and that was the smart thing to do! We all respect that! I am saying in general, weirdos (NOT YOU) get a kick out of all that stuff and they are entitled to their privacy. We just love the show and Curtis. But I am SO very sorry you took it as I was speaking to you. You did not by any means offend me. I would feel terrible if you thought that. I was trying to cheer you on, and state my feelings on the matter, not directed at you personally. Hope you understand what I'm getting at! God bless and much love to you!
Thanks Urbangroban, I knew the post was a hoax. I was hoping someone monitering both sites would get it taken care of. I am not so swift with computers as my kids are. My son showed me how he could photo shop a picture of Curtis into our kitchen. It really was funny but made my kitchen look better! I knew the dogs were a fake, they were right out of breeder magazines. I sure can't get my dogs to stand like that. Like I said, there are a lot of crazy people in the world and I was not sure how far this girl would go. She said they had 2 sets of twins, one with cancer and one with heart and lung problems. I think that is what made me so upset that I posted it here. Making up sick kids! I knew he had a great fan base and some way this would be taken care of and it was. Did you ever get to see her post before Cafemom removed it? It caught me by surprise and then it gave me the creeps. Glad everyone understands how much I enjoy the show, think Curtis is great and in some selfish way I am glad he is still single. What women wouldn't want to take him home for dinner. Now, I wish they would move him back to the original time. God Bless to you to and much love, Jennifer
Honey, you need to get a digital recorder from your cable or satellite provider. They are the greatest. I have it set to record THC and all my favorite Discovery (and other) shows. Come home from work, do what I got to do (dinner, clothes, cleaning,) then me and my bf set down and watch our shows.
