Well my friend found a dog. We put up flyers and all that but we can't figure out what kind of dog it is. She is a chocolate lab mix. we know that. she is brown all over execpt on her chest where she is white. Any suggestions?

Have you taken her to a vet's office to see if she is microchipped?

well she's not really at my house. We know she has an owner because she has a collar on but no tags. Stupid right? i suggested it and my friends parents said if nobody calls by wednesday they will. and don't worry on the flyers there were no details so we could make sure she goes back to her REAL owner not someone who just wants a dog!

ok they are taking her to the vet today instead.

i had that happen to me but the dog had no home it had been following me for a coupple of days so i broght her to my house and feed her and gave her a place to stay and rest for the day. you could tell she has been running loose for a while she had almost no toe nails the were filled right down. so the next mornning we let her back out side. and she left and came back an hour later and me and my friend walk around asking people if they knew whos dog it was etc. and she just kept on following us...we were kinda hopping she would just run to a house and start barking or something so we knew were she lived. well we finnaly found some older people who some a dark red car drop the dog off 3 weeks befor. so we took her home and put flyers up for free dog...i couldnt keep her because i already have a dog... and my friend wanted to keep here but she wasn't aloud to have pets . and me and my dog and hanna (my friend) sat on the porch hopping some one would come up and say oh i want her!! well we went back in the house and the next day my mom said if i diddn't find shaddow a home by 7:00 we would have to take her to the pound because my dad didn't really like the dog....he supports me trying to find pets home...just not when there in his home... and we waited all day. had a coupple of people come look at her but no luck.

then just out of shere luck.. about 10 minutes befor were would have left. some one pulls up in a van and a little girl jumps out and along with her mom. they asked if this was the house with the puppy. and of course i said yes. i went in the house and brought her out and it was love at first sight. so they took the dog home. i already had a collar leash, puppy food, toys etc. and i for got to give them to the lady and i went to the store down the street and they knew the lady. and i went to her house. she said the dog is doing great they really love her. and it made me so happy inside.

a coupple of days later i went over there i had finnaly matched the breed of dog that shaddow was. a black lab beagel mix. so she didn't get much big.

they bring her over every once and a while and i finally got a good picture of her her ya go ....

oh i for got one think ...about 2 weeks ago i my grandma called and said there was a dog on my porch. i looked out side. and sure enough, there was a little grey shiz zoo TIED to my porch. witha note thatsays find me a good home

sad huh...well i called one of my friends who had been looking for a fixed male small dog. just the luck!! they just love him!!

ok my friends parents took "Girl"( no name until they are SURE they will keep her) to 5 diffrent vets and found out she didn't have a microchip. they called the 2 local shelters and no one reported a lost dog so they will just hope they find her owner and if they don't they will keep her. they have been hoping for a nice calm not hyper dog and well they found her!

ok there is a funny story that i have to tell you all about girl and her first night.
well my friends dad wasn't to excited or ready for a dog so the first night they decied she would sleep outside in the garage. well it started raining so they took her inside into the utility room well when my friends dad woke up and went into the family room(remember at first he wasn't to fond of this dog) she was laying down on the couch! and last night she cuddled her way up into my friends bed so i guess she has found her home!

same here my dad never wanted a dog. uintll he got sent over seas. then he missed her like crazy.they would talk on the phone and web cam each other...now that hes home every day my dog waits at the back door about 5:30 for my dad to get home!!

OK i have a "Girl" update:

No calls yet. Checked at vets in our area the local animal shelters and pet stores and nobody has reported a lost dog.

She now lives permanatly inside unless they are taking her on walks.

Today they are giving her a REAL name.

And 2 days ago i took my dog over there to play w/ her and they looked so cute together!

HAPPY ENDING!

Yesterday the owner's called and came to pick JAVA (her real name) up. They were gone over thanksgiving and came back last week. The oldest daughter had giving her a bath and put on the coller w/o name and # so..... but yesterday they found the coller. they called the animal shelter where my friend had registered Java and well they came to pick her up. When the oldest daughter came to pick her up she started crying!

So everyone lived happily ever after!
