I wish I could say mine had something to do with animals....but it just happens to be my name and the name of the neighborhood that I live in. My kitties are Buddy and Gilbert. But I was thinking about getting those cool fighter fish who need their own bowls b/c they'll fight and eat eachother. Someone told me that they're very soothing to look at when you're stressed out, but I'm afraid my kitties might have too much fun with them....
Agapeia comes from the term "agape", selfless, unconditional love.
It's not that easy to explain as is, so let me use metaphors..
Zeus has Olympus. King Arthur has Camelot. Peter Pan has Neverland.
All great characters, all great places. But it's not really the place, but the symbolism of it that strikes out.
Olympus, the land of the gods and godesses, portrays power. Royalty. Immortality.
Camelot stands or justice. The right way, the noble way. It boasts of honor and greatness.
Neverland, as most of you may know, is a place of "play". Where nobody grows old~ it promises eternal youth. It's a place of magic and adventure.
These three places do not really represent geographical settings, but idealistic principles and nature. So does Agapeia.
Agapeia is a place of selfless, unconditional love no human being can offer~ which is why Agapeia is the name of my kennel and cattery (not breeding but i want my pets to have an place they call home hehe..). I strongly believs that our pets offer us no less than unconditional love. (yes, i am a petlover to the extremes. moving on..)
