My dog park costs $45 for an annual membership. (Or $6.00 daily) It is about 30 acres with a beach (for dogs only). It has trails going through woods and big open areas. Even with the price and the hour drive, it is so awesome we go almost every week.

That is very interesting and weird. But I live in Texas the driest state from here to Tennese,Ha I allways wanted to say that...Anyways do you guys have any idea how hard it is to find a dog park here! Eek
I have looked on the dog park finder and have found only one and I don't think it costs money but do you know where another one might be?
If you could tell me where one is that would be great!
THAKNK YOU!

I guess I'm lucky to live in Florida. There's dog parks everywhere, there free, and we even have dog beaches!

We have a very nice dog park near us but it costs sooooooooo much money! Does any one live in Noblesville or Indana that knows of a dog park in the vicinity that doesn't cost any money?

Chicago's dog parks require a season permit to visit them. This just started last year, before that they were free. Now you need to get a permit from a 'participating veterinarian' which is $5. To get a permit you need proof of a Chicago city dog license or rabies vacc, proof of vet exam and proof the dog has been checked for internal parasites, and proof of vaccination or titer for Distemper, Hepatitis, Para-influenza,
Parvovirus, and Bordatella.

I haven't gotten a permit because I don't think it's even worth that much. The dog parks in the city are mostly very small and they are all HARD surfaces such as concrete! (that is a requirement for Chicago dog parks.) I don't know about anyone else but my dogs can not run on that type of hard surfaces for very long without detriment to their joints and paw pads... The only reason I might get a dog park permit is because the permit applies to all "dog friendly areas" in Chicago and that includes the dog beach...

One year I got a membership in a park in one of the suburbs. It was closer to my house than any of the city dog parks, plus it was larger than most of the city ones and actually had GRASS. They also had a separate agility area and small dog area. That cost $75 yearly membership fee if you were not a resident of that suburb, or $30 if you were a resident.

If you live where I think you do i.e. the Dallas area, there's a super dog park up in Allen off of 75, it's the McDermott exit, but that's as much as I can remember. You should be able to look it up, I believe I found it on the internet when I lived in that area. It borders on the golf course, there's a creek running throught it, and it's huge!!! Hope you find it.

Our local dog park costs nothing.
They provide everything from doggie waste bags to fresh water for the dogs.
It is a beautful place right on the water and the dogs are free to do what they please.
There are so many around that are not known..check your local walking trails thats where alot of people gather.
And also beaches and lakes.
