I recently went to a dog park in my city I had never been to. The park was so beautiful and so big, but was very poorly fenced(no double fence), bad garbage installations, pretty much no rules or no one taking care of it. But its the most crowded dog park i've ever seen. I don't think that it is an official dog park either. Since there is no rules, I am really scared that one day an accident will happen. We were there with our puppy and a guy was there with his toddler(!!!) standing in the middle of the place. Our puppy is not used to being around kids, so she wanted to play with him and jumped on him(not aggressively, just play). The dad seemed upset about it and gave us a dirty look. Later, two dogs started a fight(nothing huge) and everyone walked into the fight (obviously their dog followed) and all dogs started barking. People sort of dress too nice to be in a dog park and get upset when dogs are playing and jump or play a little rough. I've also seen more toddlers throughout the day(what are they thinking??) and I can just imagine one getting in the middle of two strong dogs playing and getting hurt or bit.
Now, what would you do if you were me? Just ignore the situation? I am new to the dog park and I thing it'd be very odd to start bossing people around. I don't want to go to the city because the last thing I want is the dog park to get shut. Where I'm from, it's usually just regular dog lovers/owners who take care of dog parks, but they always have good rules.
I agree with goldensrock12. If the park seems a little dangerous to you, then I wouldn't go to it anymore. I just wouldn't risk someone accidentally getting bitten by your dog and then having them sue you for some crazy thing. I just wouldn't go if there were toddlers around with puppies. Puppies play bite and can accidentally bite a child, not knowing that what they did was hurt the kid. Crazy stuff happens nowadays..you just never know.
