i have a 16 year old daughter that has multiple health problems which really don't look as if they are ever all going to ever go away. When she was 2 years old she had a severe case of chicken pox. When the chicken pox were finally gone she was covered with scars, literally from head to toe. Regina had 52 scars on her forehead alone. Everybody told me that they would go away as she got older. Some of the scaring did but she is still left with deep scars. She is not bothered much by the scars on her body but is horribly self concious of her face. She has been taunted all the way through school with names such as scar face. She is home schooled now. I had a consultation with a plastic surgeon who said the scars are so deep that laser surgery would not be able to help her. He claims she would need a peel so strong it would take all the skin down to the bottom layer because the scars are so deep. He also told us she would look like a burn victim for about 8 weeks. can anybody help me help my daughter? Is it possible to have the procedure done on the show as a way to pay for the procedure? I am a single mom and can't afford this.
