For as long as I can remember the skin on my neck (actually most of my face too) has been extremely rubbery. I can pull the skin on my chin and make a pouch easily large enough to hide a 50¢ piece! When I release the skin it bounces back to normal shape. I'm only 30, but I'm starting to wonder if this skin is going to start hanging and looking terrible in a few years. Based on how far I can stretch the skin, I'm really afraid at what it could become.
I only notice a tiny bit of sagging with the skin so you'd never know by looking that my skin is so stretchy, but I'm wondering what benefits I might get by having the extra skin removed now since younger people tend to heal better than older people. I'm easily in financial shape to have it done today (who knows what shape I'll be in 15-20 years from now, maybe the jiggle caused by flying around in rocketpacks in 2024 will aggrivate it )
What kinds of scars could I expect from a procedure that would remove excess skin from my chin and where would they be? I keep my scalp shaved, so I wouldn't want some enormous cut on my scalp that most people could hide under their hair.
BTW, the skin on the rest of my body seems to have normal elasticity. It's just my neck and cheeks that can be stretched to ridiculous extents.
