I lost my husband 15 months ago, I mourned my self into a 50 pound weight lost, sagging breast a tired looking face and a drooping stomach. I worked in a youth correctional facility for 20 years and have given most of my life to serving others. Now I need to do something for my self, I want to feel alive again. Help

Go for it!

I've had two procedures in my life that could be considered cosmetic. One was having raised moles removed from my neck and the other was lasik. It bugs me that lasik is often dismissed as a cosmetic procedure, but it does give one a major cosmetic improvement in the process. Lasik was the best thing I ever did for myself, it was incredible how the procedure exceeded my expectations (I sometimes even have nightmares my eyes return to their former state). The moles on the back of my neck was only somewhat cosmetic too, they were ugly but whenever I had a haircut the clippers would sometimes cut the moles and they'd bleed. Plus, they provide no benefits and could lead to cancer. So off they went!

You've definately had some rough times recently, but why not take control of the aspects you can change while you're dealing with a situation you had no control over? You've lost 50lbs, not for fun reasons, but those pounds are gone. Use that to your benefit! Find a procedure you'd really like to do and do it. Just make sure you don't look for a doctor based on price alone. Look for one that's experienced and well respected, research the procedure you're interested in and if that procedure has new technologies or techniques that are superior, make sure you do the best one.

Good luck
