I have watched this show the entire day and I feel so badly for the victims of the enablers!
Why aren't these "enablers" prosecuted for abuse? They bring food, in huge quantities to bedridden obese people. Why? To "capture" them and make them dependent on their care?
This is a sick relationship that makes the obese person at risk of death. If I "starved" someone, I would be prosecuted. What is the difference? It just makes me so angry!
If someone you love is too fat to get out of bed, then don't feed them! These people are fat because they eat vast amounts of food! Not by sucking air!
The young boy that weights 800 lbs is just his mother's trapped lost baby. The guy with the girlfriend that "sneaks" in food into the rehab center, and many other spouses and family members enabling their obesity, just MAKES this tragic situation worse!
Throughout the show she admitted to wrongdoing but seemed unable to control her actions. She talks to her son as if he were 7 or 8 years old. The frustration the medical staff was feeling was totally obvious! I would like to know what the mother thinks after seeing herself on the show. I hope they do a follow up on the boy.
