WOW! Glad I wasn't that anethesist! (sp?) How could she have made that mistake? Didn't she realize what kind of operation Dr. Garth was doing? She looked scared to death! And she should have been! Is that the Dr. Davis' regular doc for that?????

I think they were at a different hospital than they normally use. I think they do most of their surgeries at Methodist, and there was a shot of a hospital called "University" something or other at the beginning of that segment.

The doctors regularly perform surgeries at University General Hospital as well as Methodist, so I wouldn't contribute the error to the difference in hospital.

I agree Deb. I didn't blame wither doc for one minute for being upset. The Anesthesiologist should have done her homework. I know at the hospital I work for they know what cases they are doing the afternoon before. The Anesthesiologist should have know what the surgery entailed and not done that mistake. I am glad Dr Garth mentioned to the family that there was a mishap in the OR which probably saved them in the long run.

The reason why I thought they did most surgeries at Methodist was because I remember more shots of Methodist on Big Medicine.

I did notice that on the Montel show that just re-ran the December show.....both docs were wearing scrubs with "Univeristy General Hospital" on them......so I guess they like either hospital.

I noticed that too. It's been my experience that doctors normally have a primary hospital they prefer to use, probably close to their office, but will also have privileges at another hospital so that they can accommodate patients with different insurance companies who can't use the primary hospital.
