Roux-en-Y procedure
Day 4 After Surgery -
Well I can keep yogurt/cold drinks down ok. I still can not get warm/hot foods to stay down. I should have uploaded on some popsicles, which I will go to the store tonight or tomorrow to get some. Otherwise it's been pretty ok. I only have 6 small cuts from where they opened me up. Really you can't even tell.

Wednesday after 6:00 pm they had me up and walking around. Kept waking me up every 3 hours I was able to get them to remove the oxygen and decatheter. I guess it really does make a difference when you move around.

Thursday (2nd day no shower) I knew I had to push to get free! 9:00am took me down for the drink of death, got my xray. Cleared whew, I can get some ice now. They were giving me paid meds through my Intravenous, but I had to push the button. (Now if I am falling asleep how can I keep pushing the button for pain) so I would wake up with this feeling of that someone had hit me in my stomach.

Friday they were not going to let me go home, so I had to push to get the IV out of my arm. And walked the halls about 4 times. I just wanted out of there. I stayed at a friends on Friday night came home on Saturday.

Don't think about food nor want any. Do get thirsty and have to keep up on my liquids and yogurt along with some immunity drinks. Can only hold 4 oz at a time. Last night I still kept getting up for about 4-6 hours going to the bathroom.

The gas pain is the worst. I hope, I am almost done with that for now. I will not weight myself until Sept 30th, I think I would get depressed if I weigh myself everyday.
