I have some interesting news about Big Medicine. If you are a fan of the show and would like to see it continue, read on. The show is currently airing in reruns on Discovery Health. The show will be on Wednesday, July 16 at 10 and again on Wednesday, July 23 at 10 (the episode I'm in! LOL!)
TLC will be looking closely at the ratings these two shows get as they decide if they want to go ahead and film a third season. SO...if you love the show as much as I do and would like to see it continue, tell everyone you know to watch the show on these two days! We can get Big Medicine back if we make the effort together to get the word out and to watch the show on these two days!!
I know I will be watching! I have told everyone I know, and emailed all of my OH friends to tune in. Let's hope it works!Thank you Kim for the update. Rachel
The title of this thread is Save Big Medicine by watching. Well, I'd love to, but I have not seen it for 4 weeks. It was on Discovery Health and of course it was reruns of the first season. Boring! It was also on one Sunday about a month ago, can't remember the channel. Don't know if anyone wants my opinion, but this is what I think. These doctors are well paid. Now they are "show people" and getting more money. I honestly believe they are asking for pay raises and that is why no one will pick them up. They failed on TLC and really never got picked up by Discovery Health. Can't keep a show on by watching if it is not on! Kim, I know you idolize these Drs. Davis, but they are human and are making alot of money. These days, money is the keyword. I would be very surprised if this show is ever seen again, except in reruns on God only knows what channel! It was a great show, but money is the root of all evil. No one is an exception to that rule. I hope for all you that need this show, it does come back, but don't lose hope if it doesn't. I am not obese, but I do care about people that are. My roommate is and it bothers me that she can't commit herself to the fact that something has to be done. Commitment is the keyword here with all morbidly obese people. Good Luck!
What has happened to Big Medicine? It was my favorite show of all times after Biggest Loser. It is very inspiring. I have lost 170#'s on my own as insurance won't pay for any type of weight reduction assistance. But this show was my weekly dose of encouragement. Enough already of getting pregnant, having the baby, having 8 kids or 17 with more on the way. Enough is enough let alone having episode after episode.
