I've been considering a raccoon for quite some time now, and alot of people say they're destructive, but in most of the videos I've seen of them they're being really calm. Now with ferrets, they're generally insane, and I've heard raccoons and ferrets are both mischievous and destructive, but one of them HAS to be better than the other, so what I'm asking is whether raccoons are more or less destructive than ferrets.

I will assure you the ferret is a better pet as there is no such thing as a domesticated raccoon.

I know they're not necessarily domesticated, but there ARE some people who have them as a pet.

Yes but as I mentioned the simply fact that it is NOT domesticated automatically makes it the more destructive of the two and less suitable as a pet.

It's like the difference between a horse or zebra or a domestic cat versus a feral.

Racoon? There are way betR pets than racoons. No offense-anyway try Google. It always helps.

Obviously none of you have had a per raccoon!! They are freat pets and companions if they are spayed and neutered! Thay are like 2 yr olds with fur. They are playfull, lovable, and VERY loyal!!!! I know this because I have many as paets!!! The boys are a little better temperment wise. They are more accepting to anything you want to do to them. But they are truley WONDERFULL!!!!!! TRUST me !!! I live with 14 of them. They are litter trained just like a cat

Um... where do you get a raccoon. I have seen a show and a women had about ten of them they were just like how meendana said. I think it is a little mean to have them as a pet unless you get them as a rescue but don't buy one or something. Also all the ferrets I have met were really mean.
