I'm not sure if this is the right board but I was wondering if using flea powder is safe on ferrets. I recently bought some for my cat and Jaki has fleas pretty bad (as I noticed while clipping her nails). I have kitten shampoo if not, but Jaki hates baths and if this alternative was safe, I figure it'd be less stressful for her. I want to make sure first though.

Consult your vet about it if the flea powder says cats it should only be used on cats, specialised flea medication should only be used for the animals it says.

We have never used powder on our ferrets. If you put it in their blankets that they burrow into I believe it gets in their noses. Shampoo has always worked best for us.

When you bathe your ferret, is it the only thing in the tub or bin?

My ferret can't stand baths, but loves to come in the shower with me. I think it makes her feel more comfortable to have me there with her.
