i have a femail savanna monitor her name is suzie and is about 5 or 6 months old. i know the basics about her but i would like to lear more any one know where a good site to look would be. i cant ever find any thanx

Savannahs do NOT make good beginner pets, or good beginner reptiles, or even good beginner monitors! They are so inexpensive and accessable...it's a shame. Can you please explain your setup? Substrate, tank/enclosure size, monitor size, diet, temperatures, etc? These guys get VERY large, 4-6 feet I believe. Please read this caresheet: http://www.repticzone.com/caresheets/642.html.

How much reptile experience have you had? If you really want a monitor, the best beginner monitor, not passing 2 feet is the ackie.
