My beardie has a lot of personality, he's like a little fat guy that can't talk. Even if he can't make the facial expressions like humans can, I know exactly wat he's thinking. I prefer bearded dragons, but leos are cool
Rush you would be very incorrect. Beardies take a LOT more work than a leo.
Leos' require a 10 gallon tank and mealworms or crickets and a uth and a hide. that is the minimum care required.
Minimum care for an adult bearded dragon is a UVB stip as the coils are dangerous or a Mercury Vapour bulb. A basking spot of about 100 F, a hide, a FIFTY FIVE gallon tank minimum as an adult. Fresh Greens and a lot of crickets. super worms can only be fed after reaching a about 12 inches or so and mealworms are a no. They also need regular baths to keep them hydrated.
Then they brumate which is a very stressful time as they go to sleep and don;t eat and you have to keep a close watch to make sure they don;t get sick and die.
I haven't owned either personally, but I know people who have.
I think leos are quite small (compared to other creatures out there), and nice to look at.
However; I think Bearded Dragons are very cool, and really neat. I enjoy watching my boss's, even if he is just sitting there. He's still pretty cool to me!
I like Leo's better. They don't get too big but they get big enough so that you don't need to worry about them getting stuck in small crevices or getting lost. They're also a lot gentler and easy to take care of.You can just use a reptile carpet for their cage instead of sand which you constantly have to filter for beardies. About them only being awake at night, it all depends. My Leo is awake a lot especially since she's so little. If you leave a UVB light on at night it seems to make mine more active during the daytime.
I would like bearded dragons, because they hardly bite so does the leo, but my brother's leo loves to bite. Bearded dragons would also cling to your shirt and are gentle giants, except when two males are together. Well every animal is diffrent.
