Hi fellow members!! I don't have a clue how to protect my five girls (ages 15 - 4). I can't afford a security system, let alone being able to put deadbolts on the doors!! With the high cost of EVERYTHING I am doing everything I can to survive. I have had my home broke into 12 years ago. I've had a car stolen and the 2 stereo's stolen from my vehicle. I am at my wit's end. I am about to post a sign outside to tell any would be thief, "The doors open!! Take what you want just leave my children's toys and beds alone." I give up!! What is a mom to do??? Any ideas? Thanks!! Think SPRING Emerald
There are self contained 'all-in-one' security alarm units that are very easy to install & affordable. You can purchase them at department stores, pharmacies, & Radio Shack.
Basically the main unit sticks on the door frame & the contact sticks on the door itself. When opened, a LOUD piezo siren activates.
Also, motion detectors that are self contained.
The main thing with all these are you have to remember to turn them on & change the batteries when needed.
There are many inexpensive devices & ideas for security that are effective.
Just do not give up!
