Hello everyone the warm weather is coming very soon, and some of us may want to leave some windows open, but may not want to set the alarm because they can't. This is not true if your alarm system has a bypass key, then you have no reson not to set your alarm and leave some windows open. You may be thinking, "well how will my alarm go off if someone comes in though one of my open windows." I will put all of your fears to rest if you have motion detectors, this is why you have them. All alarms have a key where all motion detectors are automaticly on most of the time, this is the away buton. If you bypass a motion detector then that ONE, will not be working, at that time but all of the other ones will be.If you bypass a window or more then one window, and use your away mode and someone comes in, as soon as they cross one of any of the motion detectors it will trip the alarm. The siren or bell will sound and send a bugler signal, and the police will be called depending on how your acount is set up with your montering company.
You can also leave your window slightly open and it still be protected & armed without bypassing.
If you have contacts, there can be a contact up above the normal one when the window is closed. Just remember to disarm the alarm before moving the window up or down!
