I have not been robbed but I also do not have a security system I live in a gated comunity in Keller TX but there are mutiple ways of getting in to my subdevision
We just got a security system put into our house yesterday with motion detector. Today, somebody got into our front door and the security alarm went off and the company called me to confirm if there's something wrong. They asked me if I would like them to call the police. I told them I will need to call my daughter who's suppose to be home hoping that she just trip the alarm but when I got a hold of her she told me that she's not home and she left and turn on the alarm 30 minutes ago. I told the company to go ahead and call the cops and then I told my daughter to go home. When she got home she saw the front door open. I guess the alarm scared the thief and ran away. It pays to have a security system in place. I think I also need to have a camera put in so that will help identify who is trying to do this. I have seen the show use an outdoor camera system but I don't what kind and where can I order it.
This kind of story makes my job worthwhile & gives me the needed support to continue.
It does seem a little odd though that a break in occured the very next day after the system was installed? Either you live in a bad neighborhood or someone knew about it & wanted to test it themselves.
Anyway, it is better that it happened AFTER the system was installed then BEFORE...which is the more common case & THEN one is installed the next day minus valuable goods, sad to say.
this company carries a wireless motion detector alarm that has an autodialer (no monitoring fees and it is awesome)....we love ours.
we also got their StrikeMaster 2 device...now nobody can kick in our doors
and I personally carry the 2.5 million volt stun gun...this item is great and as long as I keep the safety pin around my hand (nobody can pull it out of my hand and use it against me)
I highly recommend this company...great customer service.
