Hello every one I hope I have bean helping atot of you feel more safer in your homes and your stuff but most of all your self's to day we are going to talk about does your alarm work to it's fullest? Waht does this mean well it's simpul first off you must all ways use your alarm when you are not home and right befor every one goes to bed and please get into the habit of testing monthly this will give you peace of mind that it is still working. your montering company will never tell you you can't test your alarm in facted they like it. Now lets talk about something else people ask do I have to meany window contaced's or motion detecors the ancer is you may not have have enough. I am going to help you out. ALL Windows on the first floor must be connected to the alarm this is a must front and back of the house Door's to is also a must lets talk about the basement if only have motion detecors in your basement you are doing okay but not great as I said befor you should set your alarm at night well your motion detecors will not be on so if you have a break in at night and it can happen in the target is your basement window now the bad guy is in your house not good. So you may ask how can we fix this big problm simple they make a bar that is tide into your alarm panel and when the bar is kicked or pusshed out the alarm will sound and I mean the siren or bell. now moving on to the 2nd floor of your home lets start with you master bedroom this is motion detector city this room must have one so you might ask what rooms should have motion detector well all of them if you can't do this I will tell you rooms where you don't want to fall back on master bedroom if you have kids there rooms and also alarm there windows this is big it does not matter if it's on the front of the house. getting back to Motion detectors also going up to the 2nd floor, the dining room and any room that means a hole lot to you. I hope this helps some of you thank You Brandon
Glass Break Detectors are a good thing also. They are dual stage with both shock (low frequency) & sound (high frequency). Both have to trip to alarm. This dual technology helps to prevent false alarms.
Also, a little to say about instant & delay.
For max protection, put all windows & doors that are not used often on instant to alarm immediately upon intrusion.
Put only doors that are used the most for exit & entry on delay to give you a chance to disarm the alarm system before full activation.
