After reading recent articles regarding Bob Irwin, it seemed to me that some sources appear reliable while others do not. As usual, there are inconsistencies. Now, I don't know if this is the place to post this but here goes.
Would it be possible for anybody here from the US, Australia, the UK or other countries to give us an idea of which papers or websites are considered tabloids in your country? I only mention the US, Australia and the UK since articles about the Irwins from those countries are the ones I seem to come across most often.
For the US, I can think of the National Enquirer right away.
The only ones I can think of in the U.S. are The Enquierer and The Star. I think there's one called Sun also. I'm sure there are more. Some magazines, like People, may be somewhat accurate but often take things out of context and whatnot.
I just recently heard about what is going on with Bob, Terri, and the lawsuit against Terri and the zoo, and I too am wondering where I can read the TRUTH about what's going on. Does anyone have any reliable links?
You probably won't get the entire truth about personal truths anywhere. For every magazine and news articles post what they think will sell. If you have to read stuff stick to sites that you recognize the name. MSN news and Yahoo news usually pretty good at stick to the truth, as well as some of the news progams on TV. Or try looking up a local paper, a lot of them have websites now.
Though I just like to stick to the good stuff that's happening so I just mostly read what's posted at the Australia Zoo's website.
Crazyfungus - I totally agree. The only problem is when it comes to articles that are from Australia or the UK someone from the US might not be sure of what is regarded as a tabloid. If there are some replies from these countries about what is considered a tabloid, this can also be helpful for future reference.
Another one from the US - Globe. I've also seen the Sun.
