I would love to have Kelly create a forum where we could have a group just for this purpose. I did create a yahoo group for backup, but not sure how that will go over by posting the group link here. It's just not the same as using this forum. I'm sure everyone, like me, loves using this forum to stay in contact. Email me if you want the group link. cbtree1953@yahoo.com
That way you can all email the list with messages, and it goes out to your mailbox.

STEVE IRWIN'S MEMORIAL MAY END UP ON DVD!!!

Steve Irwin's funeral services don't end up, as it’s being sold on DVDs. It was just recently reported that the Crocodile Hunter's service on Tuesday, which was televised worldwide, is likely to be made available on DVD, according to Contactmusic. "We've obviously been discussing [a DVD release]. The service featured clips from Irwin's wildlife shows and tributes from a number of celebrities, including actors Russell Crowe and Cameron Diaz. The Herald called it "a slickly produced spectacle, perfectly packaged for television", Judi Bailey, a spokeswoman for Crocodile Hunter producer John Stainton, who produced the service told the Sydney Morning Herald.

I have been in contact with a Lady that is making a giant sized Steve Irwin Tribute Poster below is her information. If you would like your text Tribute to be included on the poster please email her by this weekend as she needs to finalize this before she has surgery at the end of this month. Those that want a printed copy for them selves are being asked to pay for the postage, to me that is only fair as she is putting out her own time and money to make this poster.

Hey Ya'll,

I wanted to let all of you know that I am diligently working on the tribute. I have printed out a rough draft and am not completely satisfied with it. However it would work for what I had advertised on ebay. I am going to work on this until I am completely happy with it, however. No one will get a copy of this until I have already gotten it sent off to the Australian Zoo. I want to make sure everyone gets a copy of what is sent. (If you know of anyone that wishes to have their tribute added to this, please have them email their tribute directly to me AmericanSkyHusky@sc.rr.com I can add to this easily. What I am working on is editing the pictures and things that I am adding to the Tribute. I am also working on some sort of covering for it to protect it.

If you have won this item in the bidding process and wish to discuss with me anything involving your already made payment, please do not hesitate to contact me. I will be willing to return the money that has been paid for the item at any time. I am asking everyone's patience with me. I am working on this with my entire heart. I want it to be beautiful. I do not wish to rush this.

If I do not get this done by the 25th (Tuesday) of September there will be a break in my production. I apologize for this, however I am scheduled for necessary surgery.

If anyone wishes to see what it is that I have done so far I will be more than happy to send the file for viewing.

I will be working with everyone to receive a copy of this. Even if it means sending the file and you printing it out on your own computer. (that would require no payment whatsoever).

So I beg of everyone to bear with me. I am one person working on this and trying desperately to make this a Tribute worth having.
Let your friends know that they WILL get a copy of this Tribute once it is finished. I am adamant about that. Some people may still be waiting at Christmas, but I will make sure they get a copy of it. It really depends on the needs of the people. If I have to pay for the shipping and everything myself it may take a bit longer as I am a stay at home mom and a military spouse with 4 children. Money gets a bit tight from time to time. But anyone who has contributed to this Tribute is GOING to get a copy of it. I have great ideas for it. Putting it all together with all of these ideas running through my head is driving me batty though LOL

I hope to have the Tribute mailed to the Zoo soon. I want to make sure I have all of the Tributes in. So, if your friends would like a tribute added, please express to them that they need to get them to me ASAP. If it is already mailed, their tribute will not be included.

Thank you so much.

Godspeed Steve. Rest in Peace.
Kerri

She is the Lady that pushed Ebay to match all bidders for the poster, which they did, plus she is sending a copy to each and every bidder regardless or not if they won the bid. All she is asking is that postage be covered.

Sincerely Dove

I would like to keep in touch as well but I don't want to put my email address up publicly. Is there any way I can be added to the "list" without putting up my address...like sending it to one of you?

Monday is going to be the third week of Steve's death. I'm hoping that all of us will light more candles for him. Although it's a end for Steve, it's a start for us to savevwildlife.

not sure how this will go over, but have found a yahoo group that is dedicated to Steve Irwin. It's called Discover Steve Irwins Planet.

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Discover_Steve_Irwins_Planet/

Has anyone joined this group, or is this the one that was recently created a few days ago?

Oh, like Cheryl said, I have released a lot of my grief too. I watched a clip of Russell Crowe's tribute to Steve that appeared at the beginning of the memorial, and for the first time I DIDN'T CRY! I feel like I already told you guys this. Maybe it was another group. Anyway, maybe it was just because it was not Steve himself. We'll see. But I definitely feel somewhat better about it all.

Good Evening or Morning to everyone..have been busy here...have been working on scrapbook pages of Steve, Terri, Bindi and Bob, plus made a musical slideshow DVD with them for my grandchildren. Have planted a tree for Steve to.
Soon after we planted we got the blessed rain that we so desparately need, wasn't a long rain but enough so as to give plants a watering.

I have uploaded my scrapbook pages and pictures of the tree on http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Discover_Steve_Irwins_Planet/

I took a sculpture I have and place it at the base of the tree along with rocks I collect. Have rocks from all over the world and in the grouping you see at base of the tree are some from Australia.

I know it a crazy thing to collect, but have been doing that since I was a child..it a killer when I move because dozen or so boxes of rocks to pack up.

when I first moved up here to north texas and in with my husband...he about died when he saw boxes of rocks..ROFL..he said who carts rocks around with them all over the country!!!!

I dooooooooooo...those rocks represent every place I have ever been since I was 8 years old...they are my history and my memories..I know exactly what state or country and where each rock was found. That picture of tree we planted for steve only one tenth of the rocks I have CB...LOL

Dove.. have you ever seen the Lucy Ball movie,
"The Long, Long Trailer?"
http://homeiswhereweparkourhouse.com/lltrailer.html
Tacy (Lucy) thinks having their own traveling home, before they were called RVs, is a much better idea than staying in motels and rented rooms, while on tour of the country.
Lucy tries to cook dinner in the trailer while Nicky drives them to their destination which proves to be a really bad idea.
Along the way Lucy collects rocks as souvenirs of the places she has been along with lots of canned fruits and vegetables, eventually causing the trailer to be greatly overloaded.

The movie's climax revolves around the hilarity of moving a 28ft 3 ton trailer up a very steep, narrow mountain road, which looks like Highway 1 along the coast of California.
If you can imagine having a trailer full of rocks hidden under everything.. suddenly shifting & rolling backwards or forward when they are stuck on the top of a steep turn while trying to turn around...

This is YOU Dove....
