The Mars vehicle could be easily kept warm by bent reflective half sphere's that concentrate the suns rays onto the outer hull of the vessel. It's basically the same concept as a solar oven. If you line a satellite with aluminum foil and hang a pot of water in front of it it will eventually boil the water. A carefully planned arrangement of reflective curved devices would keep it warm in the day and make for a safer launch on the day of departure.
