Evan shaved all of his hair off!

No kidding... personally I think he looks even cuter than before. He said he did it in tribute to his mother who has been batteling cancer. What a guy..

Umm... Actually that is old news. He posted that on his weblog awhile back. :-)
His mother has survived cancer twice. I think breast cancer and ovarian cancer.

AFTER READING "JUST FINISHED IN AUSTIN", I REALIZED YOU WERE ON THE SHOW. DID YOU ASK HIM HOW PEOPLE WERE REACTING TO HIS NEW DO? HE'S GOT SUCH AN ADORABLE FACE, I'M SURE IT'S NO BIG DEAL. I didn't ask him what kinds of reactions he had been getting... but I did rave and rave to him over how good I thought it looked. Honestely... I really love it and I think it makes him look even better! It's about a half an inch all over. He showed me a picture of when he first did it and he had it shaved down to the scalp... and, in my opinion, he still looked great! The first day they taped he wore a cowboy hat the whole time...so it's not at noticeable right off the bat. I don't think he had it on the second day so I think you may be able to get a good look at the new do when the show airs. I believe he told me that our episode will be the first that he's done with the new do. Hard to remember exactly... so much crazy stuff going on those two days it's hard to remember everything :-)

i noticed you just registered so you arn't up on all the latest. you may notice that there is a board exclusivly on evans hair. i also personally like it long, but when you realize why he did it, i think it's admirable.
another thing that's been talked a lot about is his recent wedding to his now wife, andrea. i believe they got married in october. sorry for you and many others. check out some of the other boards and you'll find lots of info., not only on evan but on everyone.
if you click under forums instead of last topic you'll see many boards. i'm not sure if you knew that.

If you caught the flight 411 episode... you'll notice that Evan's shirt states..."I'm in Love". And, yes, he was set to tie the knot a week after the 15th if October. So sorry gals... he's officially of the market.

Did his fiance come visit the set?

How do you know that he got married??? did he say he got married? so then how do you know? does he ever talk about his "fiance/wife"? so then how do you know?? does he ever mention her on his website @ www.evanfarmer.net ? so how do you know he got married? how do you know he is in love? how do you know that they were going to "get married"? I think it's just a rumor. If he was TRULY happy, don't you think that he would talk about his happiness? if it's such an open thing, why does everyone supposedly know he's married? wouldn't he just say if he is or not?

And no. His "wife" did not come to the show.
his "wife" is never talked about by Evan on his website, and his "wife" is just a figmint of everyone's imagination... (Evan's married *laughs* yeah like he'd keep that a secret!!!)

from what i've heard, andrea wishes to be kept out of any limelight. i have heard him talk about having someone special in his life earlier this year, refering to himself as not being single or available. there was something posted and removed a couple months ago about the wedding not happening, but i believe it has. if not the actual set date, but soon there after. there also was the fire that was at evan and his wifes house right before christmas.
personally, i would also like to hear him talk about the marriage, his wife, or being happy and in love, but just because he chooses not to for some reason, it doesn't mean it's not true.
if you read all of "this weeks episode", the home owner describes a lot of conversation about the event and his state of happiness. since that was the last ep before he was to get married, let's watch and see if there's any talk about it, or if there's a ring on his finger, although the absence of either will not mean it still didn't happen. maybe this is just a part of his life he's not willing to share just yet. if his wife really wants her privacy, don't you think that would mean more to him than talking about it all??

that's right, shellybell. and i believe that was the same shirt he wore soon after he met andrea. so i do think it makes the statement.

oh. well i didnt know that. sry. i just didnt hear about it. but you say that, and it makes sense now. yeah i guess you're right, that probably would mean more to him. it just didnt make any sense, because i didnt hear about it anywhere. but now that makes a lot of sense... so im sorry if i made anyone mad, i didnt know.
i hope he's happy with his wife.

Btw, I can try to dig up the urls later but there were two official news articles announcing their engagement (one in the Tennessean where Andrea is from and one in The Towson Times where Evan went to high school). Someone who went to Evan's last Home Show said he announced he was getting married. In an online interview he said he just bought a house and was getting married in October.
Then there is a wedding webpage but it has too much private stuff so I won't link it.
As olderfan said, there was an article in the news about Evan's garage catching on fire and it referred to "his wife, Andrea". :-)

This is Darcy the Homeowner again... and just to add to the Evan being married thing.. he definitely had a ring on his finger and he definitely talked a lot about his "wife" :-) When he talked about Andrea he called her his wife.

I know this is an odd question, but out of curiosity, how did he pronounce her name?
Was it Ann dree uh, Ann dray uh, Ahn dree uh, or Ahn dray uh?
I know its none of my business but its one of those things I wonder about. The way people pronounce names always fascinates me.
