Wow where do you begin. I will be happy to answer any questions that anyone has. I had Evan Andrew Leslie and Nadia with a host of support personnel. I can say that It was the most interesting and fun 3 days I have ever had.
Awesome! Thank you for posting! Questions will probably be asked more after the episode airs. Any interesting behind the scenes or funny moments to share that you think might no make it into the show? I know you're not allowed to reveal too much about the show, but it would be cool to hear about some snippets. Were you the surpriser or surprisee?
There were a ton of things off camera that were a blast. Just a couple (I will post more as I go through the process of recollection) During the down times Evan and I would hang out in my sons bedroom and play on my guitar. We just passed the guitar back and forth teaching each other songs. Another cool thing was he spent a good bit of time with my 8 year old son making up songs. I was the supriser and talthough my wife is a huge fan of the show she was so clueless I was amazed.

Sounds cool. Evan seems like he's good with kids. I bet your son had a blast as well. Kids are great at making up songs, my younger brother used to sing made up songs in the car. He could go on for hours singing silly songs when he was a kid. We'd all just listen and chuckle to ourselves. So, did the two of them come up with anything good?
So, what were your impressions of the cast members? Sandra
Would love to hear some stories about Andrew & Leslie! And do you happen to know the name of your episode? Like what they called your room? That way we can know which ep is you!
Awww. That is so sweet! It's always fun to listen to someone play guitar but it's really great that he took the time to learn new songs and play with your son. That will probably be something your son will remember fondly later in life.
Is Evan as funny as he seems when the camera isn't aiming at him? Is leslie as pretty in person? Does Andrew really miss-measure everything? Do they really do the work we see them doing or are there a ton of people behind the scenes really doing everything? We never hear much about Nadia - what's she like? Sorry for the barrage of ?'s! What did your son think of it all?
thats great that we had a show in oklahoma, like i posted before, i met the crew while in town, i helped get the materials at one of the places i work, they came in and they where so funny riding in baskets and being so goofy. congrats again on your new room.
I will try to answer them. Well Andrew found this fat suit I had made to be Homer Simpson on Halloween. He wore it for the entire day along with a sailor hat and a pair of my wifes sunglasses. He also wore this very decorative backpack with a bowling ball in it. He was an increduble amount of fun. Leslie was cutting a piece of plywood on the table saw when the board kicked out and hit her in the belly. She was down for about 30 minutes but rebounded quickly. My episode is called little room on the prarie. Nadia (pronounced Naydia) is absolutley incredible. She really tried to create a design based towardsmt wifes taste. She was just very easy to hang around and goof off with. The crew that you see on the show is the crew that does most of the work. The helpers they do have are really just setting up for the next paint color or whatever. Ryan the sound guy was a blast. and the director was just really patient. It was weird in a sense that I kinda made rounds establishing cool personal relationships. There is a chance that our episode will be a 2 hour special. I can't tell you all the suprises but there were many.
That's so cool! (except for the part about Leslie getting hurt,..did they get that on camera???)
I wonder..If it is a 2 hour special, I hope they make it at 9 instead of 10 so I don't have to stay up until midnight on a Wednesday. AND if it is being considered for a 2 hour time-slot, I hope they do it! Otherwise, they're bound to cut out some good stuff..this promises to be a great eppy I can't wait.
Poor Leslie! I'm glad you had so much fun! Apparently Evan really enjoyed Tulsa from what he said on his webpage. Andrew in a fat suit! LOL! I can't wait to see it! Thank you for sharing!
The best advice I can give you is ignore that there is a camera and be yourself. That is what they want. just relax tell your story and don't be scared to laugh.
I can almost see it now: Andrew's in carpentry world and the nail flies out and punctures the suit while it slowly deflates.. then someone else could make fun of him for the "best of the best" ..poor Andrew is being attacked by my overly active imagination.

whoops, I got bleeped.. mentioned a certain biological gas exchange before as it pertained to Andrew in best of the best I apologize, didn't know that was under the "not supposed to say" category.
and if this is bleeped too for TMI (too much info), sorry again modivy..
when the producer was at your house, did you get any feeling that they may or may not pick you? I find out next week...but any helpful information you can give me so i can get a good night sleep would be great!
I know the agonizing wait you are going through all to well. If your story is good and you feel like you were comfortable during your interview you should do fine. I occupied myself by doing projects on my house to prepare in case I was selected. Keep busy time will fly by. I wish you all the luck in the world. Alwaysbob

I had just posted this in another section of this board! I'll ask you my question again here, can you tell us who the carpenters were on your episode? I can't wait to see it, and I'm sure there will be LOTS of questions!
