Hi, all! I'm a new member from way up in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada - yup, where all the snow is! Smile I just recently found my way to these discussion boards. After visiting the HSPCA website and seeing that Jim's picture was gone, I had a very bad feeling.

I've been bouncing around the various topics (although I'm not sure I'm doing it right) and was hoping someone could give me the lastest news on what happened down in Houston. Jim Boller was the main reason my favourite Animal Cops show was the Houston edition. Can anyone help me out? Many thanks!

That's really all that is known at this time.

Read the posts in the Max Mixson thread...

Thanks, Karen! I'm hoping to post more often now that I've got the site bookmarked

as far as what he likes... well he's an animal guy. exotic animals, mostly big cats. that's about all i can say.

Here's a good article from May about Jim Boller's new job. Sorry if it's a repeat.

Has anyone been able to confirm from AP or the HSPCA that Jim left? I see him and Max Mixson on website I found via Yahoo search. Is Houston going to continue being filmed for AP? I couldn't use the "contact us" here as it wouldn't connect. I hope fans will send AP a message to continue filming with Jim and with whoever is left in Houston. Jim Boller discussed many times his frustration with Texas allowing exotic species as personal pets. I wonder if that's what forced his hand? I wouldn't blame him at all.

As one of the senior volunteers at the HSPCA, I can confirm that Jim and Max are definitely no longer with the HSPCA.

As far as continued filming goes, the Anglia crews are still filming. Whether or not they continue filming past finishing up the next season (which starts this month or next) really depends on the continued ratings for Animal Cops: Houston on Animal Planet. Even if they stop filming soon, there should be enough footage "in the can" for a full season's worth of shows.

moo,

see bikechick's post just above yours. here's her link again:

http://www.longmontfyi.com/Local-Story.asp?id=7475

you'll see from the article that Mr. Boller wanted to get out of Texas. sometimes a person just wants to move on, is all.

and that's a fine new job of work to do there he's got at the new place - from what one can tell about him from the series, it's right up his alley.

I don't know about the show continuing, but Mr. Boller has taken a job as director of operations with Code 3 Animal Rescue in Colorado. Here's a link to their website:

Thank you for the 2 links to Jim Boller's new job. I wish him well. I've never heard of CODE 3 so hiring him was a smart move. It's too bad they have to rely on donations as in tough times animals and children seem to get slighted. As a teacher, I can attest to kids getting less and less, especially in the current political climate.

To Jim's daughter and the other poster here, congratulations for your college successes and best of luck in your future endeavors.
