Thanks, Ivoire! I found the part when Furhman talks about the flurry of phone calls on the 16th very interesting.

When I thought Caylee's death may have been an accident, I assumed Casey was panicking, and trying to call whomever she could, with no luck.

Then, after I realized this was no accident (not even a bad "baby-sitting" technique, but premeditated murder), I thought that calling them was part of the plan... to say, "Zenaida stole the baby from me!" but no one answered.

Stupid me... I never thought she might simply be checking that everyone was truly staying away from the house! That's probably the simpliest (and truest) explanation of those phone calls that day.

His book is more an expose on the media and how the media manipulated the Anthonys, not an expose on the Anthonys. This is going to be the same sort of examination that the Tot Mom play in Oz will be. The name of the book is The Murder Business. Not the Anthony Murder case.

quote:
CINDY AND GEORGE ANTHONY IN THE MURDER BUSINESS
Mr. Fuhrman points out in his book how the media invites family members on TV shows to keep the ‘’news story’’ A lot of people have wondered and have been perturbed as to why the interviewer isn’t asking the important questions of George & Cindy Anthony. The media according to Mr. Fuhrman: “They manufacture questions, but never try to answer them… they pretend victims are alive when it is patently clear there is no chance, just to keep the story alive.” Mr. Fuhrman addresses how the media seduces these family members to get the ‘news story” , including the payment of money for ‘’fair use’’ of objects, pictures or video. Sound familiar….
Here’s an excerpt from the book that illustrates this ‘’Murder Business”:
—Cindy Anthony was clinging to the delusion that the stench in Casey’s car was not that of a corpse but perhaps a rotten pizza andthe media reported the flimsy, ludicrous myth, for months and months, that Caylee may be alive, because they wanted a story. This resulted in thousands of false tips that the investigators were required to investigate, no matter how crazy. The media myth wasted time and resources of the detectives……a story that drug on for months, long after it was evident/realistic that Caylee was dead. —
Mr. Fuhrman couldn’t have picked a better title. The Anthony’s occupations are within the murder business as they profit selling pictures & fuel the media fenzy about the murder of Caylee.

NANCY GRACE SHOW:
The Media According to Mark Fuhrman: “They want a big, loose timeline filled with “leads” and “possible suspects” and “persons of interest”-a story with legs. After Caylee’s remains were found, everyone knew the gravy train was pulling into its final destination. It was time for a new story. “ Is this why Nancy Grace stopped covering the Caylee Anthony murder case?

Very interesting .....

I always beieved that IF it was an accident....that explained the flurry of phone calls....because Casey was in a panic.

But this is a new twist of thought...that maybe the phone calls where made to see when and where George, Cindy and Lee where and if they would be making a surprise visit home.

BUT didn't Casay also make a phone call to her X Jessie Grund as well during the flurry of calls to her family????

IMO- Cindy was calling to ask Casey where the hell her and Caylee were- because she had left in the middle of the night- after the fight- perhaps after she killed Caylee. George NEVER f-ing saw her, never.

i thought this was understood from the beginning, i mean, i just took it for granted that it was understood by pretty much everybody that she was checking to see where her parents were, i've thought that from the beginning of all her flurry of phone calls being made public. i also didn't find it odd she would call jesse, i mean, jesse is probably the most stable, rock, anchor, she's ever had in her life and the closest she's ever been to anyone outside her family, she had to be shaken up quite a bit and i don't find it odd at all that she would reach out to jesse, oh not to tell him of course but sort of like reaching for a lifeline. what i haven't ever understood is why she called Mark Hawkins......that one i still don't get.....unless......he's the father of Caylee, but even then, why call him, it's not like she was going to tell him, or anyone for that matter, what she had done.....yet she does say to him that she had something to tell him, Casey wasn't ever, ever, ever going to tell a soul that she killed Caylee, so why call him, why tell him that? that's one phone call i havent' figured out

she didn't call Lee, so i concluded, and thought everyone else thought the same thing, that she was checking to be sure nobody was at home and find out when they would be home, Lee would never have been an issue, only G&C, hence frantically calling them.

anna, thanks for re-posting the cell phone timeline, been a while since i visted that, when i glanced over it and got to the bottom where it times Casey with Tony @ blockbuster...it reminded me again that Caylee's little body was most likely in the trunk at that time Frown
