since we havn't heard any news for almost 2 wks now related her trial the defense must becoming up with something what do you think this clan will come up with really? what is their best shot..what can this group do to completely get a jury to believe she had no hand in the death of sweeet Caylee Marie♥ what are their strengths what are their weaknesses...and how much of a good bet will it be that The Crusty Skank will get the DP, or life in prison?
Good to see you neid - I haven't seen you post in a week or so. Well Baez sat in on the latest depositions. There are so many things happening. First the Anthonys threw Jesse under the bus as many times as they could in the prosecution's depositions. Especially Cindy. They don't believe that the little girl found on Suburban Drive is Caylee. They are looking for a live Caylee once more. The Defense is getting ready to depose Kronk. They are h e l l bent on their defense being that someone other than Casey put Caylee there. I know that they have until the first week of February to give the prosecution a name to back up what they said at the hearing that someone else put Caylee on Suburban while Casey was in jail. The Anthony's want to wipe the slate clean I think that the Defense would be playing with fire if they try to actually accuse Jesse, because LE cleared him a long time ago. However they can hint that he would have motive, make him seem less credible, he has a temper, etc. They will make Kronk appear to have found out prior and that he was cashing in on the reward money. The jurors, will never get past that 31 days. Not too many had such a cushey life as Casey did. Then to look at how she drove them all over Orlando, on a wild goose chase to show them ZFG's apartment. All the phoney names that she made up. The rare duct tape that links the Anthony home, the crime scene and the victim. The shirt that Caylee wore is linked to the crime scene, the victim and the Anthony home. I would just like to find out who sold that picture of Caylee and Casey to the Globe with Caylee wearing that shirt. That person obviously knew more way back in the beginning. The jurors will see Casey's demeanor. The jurors will take note that all the friends, lovers all their stories are in sync with one anothers. The contradictions and lies come from the Anthonys. The jurors will see her behavior and pictures of her during the time that she stated that she was doing her own investigations. They will take note of not one ZFG story, but three. They will take note that not one person on that whole witness list ever saw a picture, in person, talked with this nanny. The Jeffrey Hopkins that was supposed to have dated ZFG with son Zachary doesn't exist. The hair with the death band on it in Casey's trunk. The cadaver dogs hitting on the car, two places in the Anthony's back yard. The prosecution hasn't even released the bug forensics yet. Then they will see Cindy and George and Lee and see that they have been contradicting and covering. They will note the tattoo, the partying. All the times that Casey was without Caylee on video and testimony from all the people that Casey h u n g around with. All of this, they will convict her.
I am not sure if they will go for death. But lately I am changing that I really want her to get the DP. I thought that it may make her have to live for a long time with what she did. The more that I see her, the more that I know she could care less, if she hasn't shown remorse, sadness by now, she never will. She simply could care less. If she gets DP then it will be a few years before she would actually get the lethal injection or the chair. So that would put her in General Population for a few years. She would still have a few years to think over what she has done. I truly believe that the only thing that is making her sad right now. It is not because she murdered Caylee, she is not sad because Caylee is not in the land of the living. It is because she is in jail and can't party and be free to be with men, and not be able to go out and have fun. It is all about her. I think that the fact that this is an emotional case, unlike the Anthony's the jurors will go for DP. There was no good reason for this heinous crime except for Greed, selfishness, just pure evil. All in all I just think they will poke holes in the prosecution (THEY WILL TRY TO) they won't succeed for the reasons mentioned above. They are going to go through all those names of people with equessearch <---sp? to see if they can make it stick that someone actually did go there so that they can try to prove that Casey couldn't have done this. It won't work for the above reasons. Caylee's voice is demanding to be heard in all the evidence. God and the Angels are going to make sure that Caylee gets her justice and that her death will not be in vain.
We already a know a few things the defense is going to say, from what we have heard, from them. Junk Science, as per LKB. An unidentified finger print found on the duct tape, other than the FBI worker(if this is true) And they wil try to 'poke holes' in the State's case. They will probably say there is no connection from crime scene to Casey. Somebody put Caylee there after the area was searched, and Casey was in jail, so it could not have been Casey. They will most likely say, the same things, all defense lawyers, say..they never looked at anybody else as a suspect. They did not follow leads to find a live Caylee. Their job is to create, reasonable doubt..even if they reach one juror. jmo Don't worry Neid.
i agree totally, they can't just say "someone else did it" since the jury isn't stupid they'll want more, like "ok, then WHO did it if you think someone else did it? so, they'll skirt around that by hammering away that LE never looked at/for anyone else in the crime and ah ha there's a "strangers" fingerprint!
i do wonder about that unidentified fingerprint, it IS unidentified, correct? they haven't tied it to anyone in LE have they? it's still a "mystery person"? i do find that curious, everyone who handled the tape through chain of evidence should have been compared, right?
LKB and her junk science, pfftttt junk this, heifer!
i don't see a southern jury being impressed and star-struck with ms LKB

I'm not sure that death row inmates are in general population in Florida. In some states they are confined, alone, for 23 hours a day. Death is the only thing to look forward to.
"They are escorted in handcuffs and wear them everywhere except in their cells, the exercise yard and the shower. They are in their cells at all times except for medical reasons, exercise, social or legal visits or media interviews. "
and
"They do not have cable television or air-conditioning and they are not allowed to be with each other in a common room."
I am not sure if 'common room' includes the exercise yard, but I assume so.
Neid..I am not sure about the dp. I have followed many cases, on tru-tv, watched alot of Inv. Disc(true stories.) When jurors are interviewed following a trial & penalty phase, I have heard many say, although they believed in dp, being in the position of having somebody's life in their hands, is very difficult. In Fla., during penalty phase, the jurors make a recomandation to the judge, lwop or death. In that state, it does not have to be a unanimous vote, which does surprise me. My personal opinion, is Casey should get dp. But..it's really hard to predict, what this outcome wil be.
Whatever the defense comes up with, they are going to have to do it by the check fraud trial in January. Everything that comes up in that trial will be on the record, supposedly the truth, and will be available for use by the prosecution in the murder trial.
I personally don't see any way the defense is going to avoid at least a mention of Zanny and the Great Kidnapping Conspiracy in the check fraud trial. For sure, the prosecution is going to try to bring it in--that was Casey's explanation for why she stole the $$ in the first place.
grrrr i posted this in the wrong thread, reposting it here, sorry to repeat

Since Macaloser made a point of saying "a stranger did it" on the 48 hours special, I think they will throw that against a wall to see if it sticks. The problem I see with that is, how did this "stranger" get Caylee? Casey's nanny has to be part of the duhfense "strategy" because MOTY certainly wouldn't give Caylee to a stranger, right? (No, she killed her instead.)

Curious, excellent observation, dear, exactly!
i've been saying that
won't work, it's been thoroughly investigated and all roads lead to Casey, no other stranger unless they can produce a believable scenario, which i don't think they can
