I'm a busy mom of two kids. At the age of 29 I feel better and probably look better than I have in years, however this stubborn belly (the lower abs) is just so hard to get rid of. I do 30 minutes of cardio 5 times per week and do strength training 30 minutes a day, 6 days a week. This includes lots of cruches and leg lifts. Is there some way to specifically target this fat area? I eat very healthy so I don't feel that cutting calories at this point is the answer. Could this just be my body type? I tend to carry my weight on the top, unlike most women. I owe my new body to fiv tv! I keep it on during the day to keep me inspired and motivated!

Your post is an inspiration to me and I totally understand what you are saying. I am trying to loose this baby weight from the last baby. I am 35 and weight more than I should probably 25 pounds. I just discovered fit tv. I am a nurse and I am beginning to think its just our genetics plus the stretched skin. Sometimes I think plastic surgery is the only answer. Email me I would love to chat. sexycpl@carolina.rr.com

It sounds like what you are doing SHOULD take away the weight in that area, but some people just are unable to. If you aren't getting the results you would like, I would suggest perhaps getting liposuction for that area. I have a friend who was extremely toned everywhere but could never get rid of her tiny belly area. She opted for liposuction and loves her results.

Have you tried plank work? It's so effective for the core and hits the lower abs.

Just a suggestion, I have the same problem. I am a mom of three. Ages 3,6, & 15. I have never had a problem with my waist even after child birth until this tiny little 3rd one. I'm the hippy pear shape and 34 years old. BUTTe I am currently changing that. I do, 2 or the most 3 different cardio machines during my 30 min./5 days cardio workout. This sort of sends the body into confused mode. Hey, she's working the same muscles just differently. Just got use to the bike riding now she's doing elliptical, says my body. I do very simple light abs & back exercises twice a week. My physical therapist (car accident) says do them twice a day but I only do them twice a week and have notice a big change while looking in the mirror this morning. I'll be more than happy to share, just request it by emailing me at luv2befittt@yahoo.com
