I'm a bit late to this thread. After the past month I have had, reading this made my day. And that is not an easy thing to do. This all reminded me how inconsequential the Internet can be. What can't touch you really cannot hurt you. Depsite the topical discussions this is not real life, so why fuss? And just because I came back with a different hairstyle, I am still my same pedantic, lovable self. Ha!
That being said Mike, even though this is a public message board, it is the II (inconsequential Internet as per above) and whatever you put here will be not a public endorsement, per se. So what say you?
Just to make Jana Bama's blonde hair turn that most-hated brunette, you look like an Obama man. Well, a Ron Paul/Obama fusion. I dislike the application of "fusion" these days, but I believe in keeping with the times.
By the way, PR people are attention-seekers by nature and need constant reassurance by their clients and respective fans. Remember, bad publicity is ultimately good publicity. Sorry Kay, I have the utmost professional regard for you, but you don't fit that bill. Oh no, don't cry. You have a back-up plan, right?
Diane
P.S. Thanks, Mike, for inadvertantly giving me a good shot of a fresh perspective.

Good job Jonsie! We need to add another item on the agenda. "Et al is not my name." Dani will give a short talk about manners being a great force in society. I've been trying to get some shirts that suddenly change color, so far no luck. Everyone says call the HP people. Kay PS Diane, I'd bet my last dollar that Mike is not an Obama man. I could be wrong, but I don't think so.

Hey, Kay. Ha ha. Just call me Miss Manners. Does this mean I have a job on the "team"?
Mike an Obama man? I'm going with Kay on this one.

"Have I lost my mind here!?" Hi Diana, I hope not. I've always liked your mind. "Hasn't Mike said *repeatedly* that he disdains celebrities that espouse a political position?" Yes, he has. But demonizing work is not a political position - it's a social phenomenon, with consequences larger than any one candidate or party. Calling attention to that, is not a political move, it's an observation. "He's also repeatedly expressed his, for lack of a better term, ignorance of the jobs he's done?" Proudly. "Have I missed something????" Yes, you have. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Wow! I missed a good thread/discussion! Okay, so here's the deal; Firstly, I must apologize to Mike for being flip. Mike, I'm Sorry. I was being flippant about something you are obviously quite passionate about. So, I will save my flippancy for topics more suited to such flippery. I try to 'think before I post', but that day I was just flippin out. Thank You for reminding me that this is an important place to the person who's name it bears. Yes, I clearly missed something, but I have since been able to catch it. (no, it's not contagious) Diana. You like my mind? Quite the compliment, that. Thank You. I hope you meant it and you were not merely being flip. sorry, about the smiley. oh, and there is no secondly.

I think any politician (any good one who really cares) would take seriously a letter or a telephone call from Mike. I think they listen to anyone who is reasonable, articulate and knows the subject they speak of. Mike is a very hard worker, has done things that many of us would not do, I am talking more of the dangerous jobs he has done versus the dirty, he is enough of a celebrity now that he doesn't have to, nor did he ever have to, do as much as he does, but he is a man not afraid of work, any kind. I think he has a standard that more people should try to meet. If you are going to write a letter Mike, send it to the one with all working brain cells and the stamina to put them in motion, no names mentioned but it starts with an O. It does my heart good to read that you may be thinking of such an endeavor....united we stand brother... Also Mike, as a person with legendary intuition, I just want to say, thanks for being such a good guy, you send out great karma.....keep it up Mr. Big... Yes we can........ Michelle.

[quote] "I haven't met anyone here, so can not read "body language" and this thread has me confused." I'd also like to add something to this, Karen. Meeting someone once doesn't constitute a relationship, or "knowing" someone. I met Mike one time. He can't possibly know me or my motives from a one-time meeting. Nor does it mean that I know him. It's damn near impossible to read body language on a message board. Well, unless I did something like this: *makes rude hand gesture at the nearest passerby* Loni P.S. Is the position of official spellchecker open? I'd like to apply.....You can contact my references: Din0, Jeani, Sam, and Arica. They didn't dub me "The Spelling Nazi" for nothing![quote] Thanks, Loni: The whole "body language" reading technique, on a message board, had me bewildered! I'm sure it would be a skill I could never acquire. It is hard to do sometimes when you are looking at someone.
