Congratulations on Dirty Jobs being nominated for Outstanding Reality TV show. I still wish you could have have had a Best Host nomination as well. Will you be attending the ceremonies?
Yup, no room for him in the Host category, but congrats to Mike and crew for the Emmy nom this morning!

Congratulations Mike! I was holding my breath as I read the list, but so happy to see you grab a nomination. I fear Kathy Griffin will win again though. The Academy seems to relish in giving the award to the same people over and over. Deadliest Catch did really well getting several nominations. How David Letterman and his show keep getting nominated, I will never understand......
Mike Please tell your parents we are happy that they raised you the way they did, and oh yay about the nomination for Dirty Jobs as a show. Somehow , I bet it means much more to you to have the the show honored.
Tom Bergeron is worthy of a nomination, he is an excellent host and DWTS is actually quite well done. That live production twice a week has a lot of moving parts and Tom keeps it running absolutely flawlessly. I like it 'cos we get to see our entertainers busting their bvtts to, well, *entertain* us.
Ryan Seacrest is in a class by himself - scary smooth, polished, smart, fast, and polite. I don't know how he got so good so young. (I'm also partial to him 'cos he graduated from a high school I attended for a year)
Howie's got a popular show and 50+ beautiful gazelles on his stage for every show. I don't ever watch it, but lots do, and Emmy loves the ratings.
Jeff Probst set the standard in Survivor: Season 1 and prolly has some sort of grandfather clause that gives him an automatic nomination.
And Heidi's show set the standard for the new breed of Bravo competition shows. Plus she's got tig ol' bitties.
My conclusion: Mike either needs to start wearing a game show host jacket again, or take off his shirt more.
Mike, You , the crew and everyone else associated with Dirty Jobs should be extremely proud of your Emmy Nomination. It is well deserved and a fine testament to the stellar job you are doing.
I know everyone always says it is an honour just to have been nominated, but truthfully Mike, don't you just want to sm@ck them when they say that....? I really hope you win Big Guy. You deserve it.
grasshopper P.S....the host nomination is in the bag for next year...don't you worry!
