If you're new here you probably have a lot of questions to ask Mike. Unfortunately, as the show has grown more and more popular, Mike has a more difficult time getting back to answer questions.
**A special thank you to Laurann (Idstad) for all her work compiling and updating the following information.**
Here is a list of links that will take you to great stuff like his bio, FAQs, viewer questions, etc., that may answer that question you have for him.
The Video Vault -- If you go to "video search" at the top plug in "Mike Rowe Dirty Jobs" all 100+ clips will come up for you. There are some wonderful gems in there!
Thanks to the Crew for all the hard work to bring Dirty Jobs to all of us. Judy and Mary

PHOTO REQUESTS
Photos of Mike and Dave are available. Please read Mike's post for instructions on how to receive yours!
It has been brought to my attention that the production photos that I have personally autographed for nearly 10,000 fans of Dirty Jobs are disappointing in two key areas.
1. They aren't BIG enough. 2. They aren't DIRTY enough.
In an effort to rectify this oversight, and celebrate more new episodes, The Network has allocated several dozen dollars to upgrade my publicity shot. The new photo addresses both concerns quite nicely. It is of the standard 8x10 variety, and features me, covered in charcoal dust, holding my filthy hands toward the camera, and screaming in abject horror. The expression captures what I believe to be the true measure of pain and regret that have become hallmarks of my large and filthy face. You can obtain your very own signed copy - should you desire such a thing - by sending a request to the production company. The request should read:
PHOTO REQUEST Pilgrim Films and Television 6180 Laurel Canyon Blvd. #350 North Hollywood, CA 91606
Be sure to include a self-addressed stamped envelope with sufficient postage. (You’d be amazed how many forget.) Please make sure the return envelope is large enough to hold an 8”x10” photo. Please address the envelope exactly as written above. Please do not include anything else with a photo request. This includes lengthy letters, crocheted mittens, suggestions for dirty jobs, love notes for Barsky, boudoir imagery for me, or baked goods of any type. The aforementioned are all welcomed and appreciated, but must not be included with a PHOTO REQUEST. It only confuses things, and makes Barsky anxious.
Please allow 4-6 years for delivery. If you would like the photo personalized, please allow much, much longer.
Seriously, Mike
**Please state in request if you are requesting an autograph photo of Mike or Dave - if both please be sure to include enough postage.**
*Please note the following message from Mike regarding receiving signed photos:

I do have some news that I hate to share, but must. It’s regarding personalized, autographed pictures. From the start, I’ve always tried to personalize every request, but find now that I simply can’t keep up. I am literally months behind, with no hope of getting even. The problems are several, and include, believe it or not, some recent security issues. (Don't ask.)
Any mail addressed to me will still go to Pilgrim, and then to a PO Box. Photos will be signed by me in advance – not personalized – and sent back in whatever SASE you provide. All other mail addressed to me will now be opened and screened by someone other than me, and forwarded to me later. Anything other than a photo request will eventually get to me, but I cannot guarantee a response.
I feel badly about having to do this, but worse about the growing stack of Fed Ex boxes piling up in my dining room. Hope you understand.
Thanks, Mike

This is more a question for the members I suppose. When surfing through various MB's on the net, I find that I scan the first page of posts and usually don't bother with any subsequent pages. Is this the case here with Mike? What I'm asking is, if I've got a topic in which I'd love to see his input, should I shamelessly bump it if other members' participation wanes before Mike has a chance to check it out? Now, I'm sure if about a month goes by and Mike STILL hasn't posted to the topic I've started, I'm not going to beat a dead horse (such a dirty job!). But would it be a safe assumption to make if I thought Mike would probably only post to more recent topics on page one?
Hi Teri, and let me give you a personal welcome to the boards!
These boards are capable of moving very, very fast, especially after a new episode or a marathon. A page sometimes only takes 3 or 4 hours to fill. Mike reads all questions and comments but does not have the time to respond to everyone's questions, which is why it is so important to read his FAQs, bio, Q&A, blah, blah, etc., because all the normal stuff like his interest in music, books, growing up yada, yada have probably been addressed.
I would say that if you have a question that he has not responded to after a couple of weeks to let it slide. After a while you will get into the rhythm of the board. For instance, with new shows now, it wouldn't surprise me to see him on the boards within 6 - 24 hours of the show, as I'm sure he is interested in the feedback on the show. Otherwise, it sort of depends on his schedule and if a topic piques his interest. Sometimes it is the off beat that seems to capture his interest.
I don't know if that helps, probably one of the other "more experienced" members can give some additional advice.
If you have a question for Mike scroll to the top of the forum and you will find a row of seven boxes. Click on the one that says "New" and then click on "Discussion" and this will open a new dialog box for you.
However, be patient...Mike promises to read the posts; however, he cannot reply individually to all of them.
After some searching, I found the answer to a question I wanted to ask. It has occurred to me that there are probably few questions that HAVE NOT been asked yet!!!
Another question, IF I do ask a question of Mike, how do I know that it is the real, genuine Mike Rowe that is answering and not some smart-@ss Mike Rowe wannabe?!
What is the title of the DJ where Mike is in a hot tub? I saw the one where he was in the hot mineral mud bath...I assume you are referring to something else? So the "Dirtiest jobs" is the name of a special video with Mike in the hot tub?
Lindy lady, as far as being silly goes, tell me about it, I am 42, have four boys, have been married for 20 years next summer. Typically, I really don't go for blue-eyed men. But Mike Rowe is definitely 1 in 100 billion - in other words, one of a kind! I really appreciate him, from the little I know about him.
Laurann, I DO hope you are right! I have sent several emails to Discovery regarding DJ. They must realize how popular the show is.
No one knows what is going on at this time. A few weeks ago there was basically a "fire sale" and then by last week they were all sold out. Someone did email corporate and was just told that the DVDs "were not available at this time."
Thanks Laurann, I am lucky enough to get the first season, it was ordered on Feb 4th and I got it just a couple days ago, but it isnt enough-I wanted to buy more DVD's!!!!!! I called the store and talked to the manager and they said they dont know why either!?! Hope they will get some back in soon!!
Come join our crew down on the Osage River Bottoms in Missouri. We'd like to show Mike a dirty job. This is seasonal, it usually starts from late April through late May. The job is worm - picking. Get down and dirty with these slimy creatures and learn from Tim (worm-guy)how to scout for choice worm patches, and how to operated a gasoline powered tamper used to vibrate the ground of the river banks causing the worms to work their way up to the surface. Work side by side with our worm crew picking worms and crawling through brush and mud. It's a "Dirty Job".
Mike does not involve himself in the initial job research. Your job suggestion should go here. Give as much detail as possible but leave no personal information. If Research is interested they will leave a contact email for you to reply to.
