I have to say, I just saw the baseball episode and I HAVE to commend Mike on his rendition of the Star Spangled Banner!!! Not only does he have a strong voice, good intonation, and great breath control, he's the only person I've heard sing it in the last TEN YEARS who didn't take a breath in the middle of the phrase "Oh, say does that Star Spangled Banner yet wave" Way to go MIKE!!!! I'm a music teacher and that's one of my extreme pet peeves. Most folks breathe between Spangled and Banner or unforgivably in the MIDDLE of the word Ban (gasp)ner. You did it right and I'm so moved I had to join discovery and write to tell you about it. I hope you actually get the message.

Mike manages to make my wife and I laugh out loud every episode. He's a very funny guy (and quite a singer, too!) We love his show and hope it continues.

So I've watched everysingle Dirty Jobs episode along with all the Deadliest Catch ones too. I'm planning on buying the 1st season of Dirty Jobs along with the others I soon hope to come out. Even though I'm 16 I believe I am one of Mike's biggest fans. I have even made myself a wallpaper for laptop of just him. I might be younger then most fans, but Mike you are pretty good lookin. I am new to this and I hope you answer back.

Hey Mike,
I just finished wathing the leather tanning episode and it was hilarius. Just a couple of questions for you. How bad did it smell in there? From the looks of it on the show, pretty bad. What was your "favorite" machine in the tannery? I found the one on the second floor that smoothes out the leather pretty entertaining. Is there any chance of you and Dave doing a show together? Too funny to comment on. Lastly, can you put up a post when, and if, you come to northern New Jersey? I live across from New York City on the Jersey side of the Hudson and it would be so special to meet you in person.

P.S. Whatever happened to the song "Dirty White Boy" by Foreigner being used in the commercials and the opening part of Dirty Jobs. It's my ringtone and I felt that it fit the "situation"(no better word) so well.

I am a big fan of DJ and have posted here on the vboard. I was listening to the morning DJ (Jim Kerr on Q104FM in NYC), and he was previewing the this week's DJ Episode on his show. He issued a live request for Mike to come on the show. Now, I am sure he gets hundreds of requests to do radio & TV shows all the time, but if Mike was in the NYC area, where would the request be sent for him to make a personal appearance on Q104FM? Is there an address I can pass onto the radio station? I am sure there are lots of morning fans here in NY, NJ & the shoreline of CT that would love to hear Mike trade jabs with Jim & his morning co-horts.

Hi Kathy, welcome to the forum. I think the best way for the radio station to try to arrange something with Mike is either through Pilgrims Studios (the address is in my original post and you can probably get the number from information) or through The Discovery Channel's publicity department. Mike does do occasional press junkets in New York so it might be possible to arrange something.

Well I've been watching Dirty Jobs for awhile now and I have really come to like the show and Mike, on other threads on other websites I've asked if people would watch Dirty Jobs if Mike Rowe stopped hosting the show and brought in someone new and everybody including myself would not watch it without Mike. To me I find Mike Rowe hilarious, he is a smart ellic, he cracks funny jokes and without Mike Rowe in Dirty Jobs the show would go down the tube, so keep hosting Mike, alot more people than you think really like you on the show, I would like it if you hosted other shows.
