I'm not surprised that a) Mike got deluged by more photo requests than he could personally handle, and that b) he's had to have other people screen his mail for him. Not surprising at all. When someone is in the public eye, that's when all the loonies come out of the wood work!

"Ohhh pleeease, Mike you're my one and only, write me back pleease, here's my phone number and my personal e-mail and my myspace page link and I want to have your children and my astrologist told me our stars are aligned...and...blah...blah...blah..." etc.
ad nauseum. Good gads! One can only handle so much of that, the poor man! I don't even know if any other television host has subjected himself to so much of that voluntarily. It's about time he handed it over to some other folks who can weed out the whack jobs!

So do your job there, mail-screening people, and keep Mike safe from the loons!

Oh my, dear, yes they do! Sorry this is seven months late, but I am new myself here, and shoot, you're probably long gone by now. But to answer your question, I am very active on a church-related website, and those forums are HOPPING! I have another friend who is on several other message boards for pregnant/nursing moms and e-bay. She has had a ball! This one appears to be a little different thus far, as I'm not seeing so much in the way of continuous conversations, but I'm sure they are here somewhere. I think more than anything else, people are hoping Mike will make an appearance. However, if there isn't much going on in the way of interesting conversation, he's probably less inclined to post on the rare occations when he has time to stop in.

Hello there, Ivy and Laurann. (Is that spelled right?) It looks like you two have a pretty good handle on how things work around here. Where are all the good conversations happening? (As if I need yet another forum to mess around on! Good grief, I spend enough time on the other one!)

I also appreciate the link to the "passion" discussion. The conversation there is just about beyond me, but I may chime in after reading through it a second time. I think that discussion DEFINITELY qualified as interesting enough for him to contribute to!

Good gads, I don't think I've had a "celebrity crush" this bad since I thought John Schnieder was the cutest thing ever in The Dukes of Hazzard! (Yoikes!) If anyone had told me I'd be posting here, I'd have told them they were nuts. I have to say though, the idea that a very busy TV host would actually take the time to visit with his viewers I found absolutely fascinating. I couldn't resist, although I don't own a TV (can't afford cable, either) and therefore don't get to actually watch the shows. I have to be satisfied with the little clips online and I plan to get the DVD's as soon as humanly possible!
