You do know that there is a book where Mike is mentioned in, right? Tis a romance novel, where this all powerful, all knowing demoness named Nix just adores him as much as I do. I can't think of the name or the title right now, and I'm unable to locate it at the moment, but I shall inform you when I do. ^.^ Very juicy series. I have a knacking feeling you all would like 'em. lols

Actually, I am now reminded of something. I go to BWI from time to time to hand out "goodie bags" to the troops as they deploy to points East. I'm glad to do it 'cos I want them to remember a big friendly smile as they take on the fight.

The goodie bags have stuff like lip balm, deodorant, toothbrush-n-paste, mouthwash, playing cards and whatever other dreck the big corporations have chosen to pay for.

I long to give these fine men a "naughty bag", with whiskey, cigarettes, and Playboy. They're SOLDIERS for cryin' out loud. On their way to put serious hurt on the bad guys.

Ah, well.

Actually, my darlin' Maggie, Mike is also mentioned in the next book in that series by Kresley Cole as well. The character infatuated with Mike is named Nix. It is great! I laughed so hard because she sounds like some of us.

NAUGHTY: During that last post talking about Mike reading the book. Thanks to Ewinbee, I couldn't help but picture him in the bubble bath reading the various juicy scenes XD Hope he can cover himself up completely with those slippery suds, even if it does take away from our fun.

Had to do a search for it. Sounded too good to be true but all be d@mned theres our Mike. In a friggin vampire romance novel (more like soft p0rn like I used to read). I think I might get it just for the freak value of it.

You're confusing vampire porn with a paranormal romance novel. Laurell K Hamilton--God bless her....what an imagination---writes what a former boss of mine calls vampire porn. Kresley Cole is actually pretty good. She twists myths and legends from several different cultures, and does it in an entertaining way.

I had really hoped that women of this message board would be more open-minded about such things. No, I'm not trying to start anything...I swear to the good Lord above.....But, romance accounts for the highest sales in the book retail business. Yes, some may be sappy, but a great many of them are wonderful stories written by some pretty fantastic women....and some men. I've met several of these ladies. Linda Howard is hysterical. She has a wit ....I daresay...that might surpass our beloved Mr. Rowe. Kinley MacGregor/Sherrilyn Kenyon....wickedly funny, sweet, charming....A brave woman that has overcome great obstacles. I could go on and regale ya'll with tales of the authors I've met, but I won't. Anyway, I have to say that the authors of romance novels give us something to look forward to-----a happy ending.

I know that romance novels are worth while. I was just saying that I had bad taste when I was younger and I picked some pretty bad ones. I had a skewed idea of romance lets say. I know there are some very good ones I wasnt trying to insinuate anything there. I've actually read MacGregor. I think I was just soo shocked. I dont know what I thought but I didnt think that she actually meant Mike. I thought it was hilarious that even imaginary women are infatuated with him.

OH, APRIL! NO! I wasn't insulted......just stating some facts as I know them to be. I just take a lot of heat from people because of what I prefer to read. I remember the subject of Mike being mentioned in Miss Cole's book previously sparked a few rather mean-spirited comments. My remarks were more aimed to that earlier argument because I didn't say anything then. But, no I wasn't trying to insinuate anything. I didn't mean any offense either, darlin'.
