My favorite parts were the captains singing...that even got hubby to laugh out loud (I don't think he was expecting that). I also loved Bear Grylls...for such an adventurer, he's got such a soft little singing voice! Too cute!

I love this song for Discovery, The kids, are so cute and the captains hilarious. And who knew the cash cab guy could sing? And I have to watch that Bears show he looked so scared LOL.

The video had two guys from Discovery that I like, mike Rowe and Josh Bernstein. That's all I needed to see and hear in the video, the others really didn't need to be in the video for me because they really don't do much for me in my life.

Thanks so much for posting the video! Any day that starts out with hearing Mike sing can't be a bad one. I think it's great that they got the DC captains to sing, too--those are some seriously manly fellas. It's nice to see that they're willing to be silly.

My husband thought it sounded familiar so we googled "Boom De Ah Dah" and found out that it is a Hawaiian folk song and Girl Scout campfire song.

Not sure why my husband would recognize it......

both of them are cool . although in the first one you could do wothout the stage school kids and get more of the stars in !

No offense, but everytime I hear that Boom dee adda commercial, it makes me want to throw a brick through the television! That annoying jingle rates right up there with fingernails on chaulk boards!

This was part of what is called the "upfronts" where networks announce their old and new shows for the upcoming year (NBC, ABC, CBC, and FOX are having theirs this week). This one was in New York but Discovery had them in about four other cities also. Advertisers are invited to get a glimpse of shows and stars and get a chance to schmooze with them at a party afterward all in the hopes of getting them to part with their advertising dollars on the network.
