Watching Farmer Bob and laughing my buns off (once again).

Gotta say I've never seen Mike look so uncomfortable as he did on stage with Lance Burton (with the possible exception of when he was hugged by Rachel Ray).

Rita,
I love the Casino Recycling episode too. Farmer Bob is quite the character. I don't think you could make someone up as colourful as that guy.

Why was Mike so uncomfortable with Rachel Ray anyways?...she's annoyingly perky? I always wonder about people like that.

Not sure that he was actually uncomfortable with Rachel, but he sure appeared to be. She just kinda hugged him out of the blue, and he seemed to be taken aback.

Maybe he was just a little startled. He can be a little skittish and she sorta blindsided him.
And there is that overly perkiness of hers...maybe off putting to some.

I've never watched Rachel Ray other than that interview with Mike. She gave me the creeps. I'm sure she's a lovely woman, but if she snuck up on me and hugged me, I'd be taken aback too.

I love Farmer Bob, that episode was priceless.

I used to watch Rachel Ray on the cooking show but not as a talk show host, other than the interview with Mike.

I love the Farmer Bob episode. There's something totally cool about that man Cool

As for Rachel Ray, I was just telling someone about that yesterday. Mike kind of cringed up when she came around from behind to put that headlock on his poor unsuspecting self LOL I cringed too, but I'm totally not a Rachel Ray fan. So, I would have cringed regardless of who she did that to LOL.

Farmer Bob is such a joy and delight to watch! His ingenuity in constructing equipment and recycling food scraps to meet his business needs is fabulous. He is a modest and humble human being, a true treasure.

Lance Burton's voice sounds creepy and smarmy to me. His magic acts with Mike were amateurish. It seems there could have been a higher level of Wow! factor even without Mike being in the know on the magic secrets.

I have yet to watch the Rachael Ray episode. This dirty fan is behind on watching and reading the Mike interviews.

I'll confess to having some Martha stuff in my house...but I never watch her show! Some of my favorite cookie recipes are out of a Christmas cookie magazine of hers that I've used for years.

Of course, I don't have the time or patience to spend hours icing sugar cookies like she seems to have. Seriously, you get one color icing per cookie and maybe some sprinkles if you've been *extra* good Wink

I do love watching Guy Fieri take giant bites out of huge foods on Diners Drive Ins & Dives, though Big Grin

Lisa,
I had some Martha Stewart towels once...worst towels I've ever had. They raveled and frayed after about two months. Glad her recipes are better than her products.

Really, I was only kidding about Martha. Even though she doesn't seem to mind getting dirty, I just can't imagine her having Mike on her show. I think there would be too much of an EWEEE factor.

I had that same experience with Ralph Lauren towels, Rita. I do have lace curtains of Martha's...same lace as the ones I wanted from Country Curtains, but a fraction of the price! So far, so good LOL

Did you see her on Next Food Network Star? I thought she was a tad snooty...

Martha has the same curtains as Country Curtains? And they're less expensive? Wow...good to know. I have one pair of Country Curtains that I've had for years...they wear like nobody's business, but they were costly.

Didn't see Martha on that show. I watched her show yesterday for the first time in a while. Everything is "fabulous" or "spectacular". Snooty is a good way to describe her.

Bet Mike could impress her with some BS.

I don't know about all the curtains, but these were the exact same lace sheers as the ones I wanted in Country Curtains. They would have cost me something like $100 a window at Country Curtains. I think Martha's were $10 a panel.

I had beautiful Country Curtains in my bedroom. They were a tea stained cheesecloth sheers with little rosettes stenciled here and there on them and a swag across the top of the window. Cost me $100 per window but they looked beautiful Smile Sadly, they closed the store nearest me and now I have to travel up to Wilton CT for a store.

Snooty suits her to a T. I particularly hate when she says "Remember to use the very best vanilla in your cookies". Like I'm going to go buy the very worst? Roll Eyes

How cool there is a store near you. I would love to go there sometime...sadly, I have to order through the catalog. Frown It's always better when you can see and touch the merchandise before buying...especially with domestics you're going to put that much money into.

Have fun on your trip. Get packing!

With the exception of last minute things, I'm packed Big Grin

I loved the Country Curtains store. They also had prints and other accessories. I don't think I ever walked out of there empty handed LOL!

I love pigs. I know they're piggish, but look at them! Only Mike and Bob can make me get out of bed on a vacation day. I went to bed at 3 AM, and look where I was at 9.

I was at the county fair a while back, and there was a sow with a litter of pigs. The runt was being pushed around and bit by the others. Piggish behavior! If a certain person I was with hadn't stopped me, I'd have my own Wilbur right now.

Their ears, their little feet. And their noses! I love their noses.

Then you have Farmer Bob, just about the coolest man on the planet. Stand Mike next to him in the middle of some pigs, I keel over right into the muck.

With every DJ marathon, I am amazed at how many disgusting jobs there are Mike!!!! We put such things out of our minds. It explains a few things about you though I think.

I'd forgotten that black, sugary grease beneath the gears that had a broken bearing. I forgot you stooped over, spreading manure in a mushroom bed. Some of the things you do stay with me however. Thanks for that.

You know, for a fellow with such a crazy ginormous head, and goofy expressions situated in the grossest places you sure can really get under a lady's skin.

Kathy,
You are absolutely right about how Mike can get under ones skin....I got an ointment from my doctor just the other day for the rash he's left....hehehe!!!

Mike,
The way you can smile in the face of such slime and grime time after time always amazes me.

I can see why you don't dream anymore....

Oh, wow. Kathy (and Pingu), now I feel sooo bad.
I actually turned off the marathon yesterday to finish a book I was reading ("Lifeguard" by James Patterson). I can't believe I actually preferred reading to watching MIKE! Does this mean I have to turn in my DJMB membership card and decoder ring?? Is it possible Mike no longer gets under MY skin??? Tell me it isn't so!!

Liz,
Do a dozen Hail Mike's while sitting in a mud puddle and all will be forgiven.
