No Liz,
Mike is already under your skin. You just have a better immune system than some of us and can occasionally fight off the infection and lead a normal existence for a short time...well relatively normal anyways...hehehe!!!

You do not have to turn in your memebership card but I would like your decoder ring. I never got one and sometimes conversations here are a little hard to follow without one.
I might be persuaded to make you a pair of my very "special" glasses to watch the show with in exchange. They reveal soooo much extra...ummm...content.
...And they're quite slimming really.

"I used to watch Rachel Ray on the cooking show but not as a talk show host, other than the interview with Mike."

Lisa

So do I, Lisa. I think she's better as a cooking show host than a talk show host.

Another thing, does she really keeps on touching her guest....or only with Mike?

"Why was Mike so uncomfortable with Rachel Ray anyways?...she's annoyingly perky? I always wonder about people like that."

grasshopper

I've noticed Mike shaking his legs during the latter part of the interview. I wonder if that's a sign of being uncomfortable. My brother does that sometimes and it really annoys me. But with Mike it just intrigued me.
Does somebody like him still gets uncomfortable in doing an interview?

Or perhaps Martha Stewart?

Mike and Martha, I'd pay to see that. Well, he's already done Oprah. He's done The View twice, brave man. Sweet little Martha should be a snap.

Gayle,
I didn't see Mike either of the times he was on the view. Who was on the show when he was a guest?
I am sure Mike could sweet talk old Martha. That would be something to see wouldn't it?

And why are you a DJMB member in bad standing now?

"I'll confess to having some Martha stuff in my house...".

Me too. My husband and I recently purchased a "bed in a bag set" at Macys. It was part of the new Martha Stewart Felony Collection. Quite pretty.

Sarah,
So you like horizontal stripes?
Don't they make the bed look wider or is that the look you were going for?

Don't feel bad. I'd bet you dollars to donuts Mike has some of Ms. Martha's premium sheets adoring his bed at home. She is all about quality. And with Mike's displeasure at the wearing of bed attire, I'm sure, high quality sheets for him is just what the doc ordered. So Ms Martha just may be in the linen closet.

See grasshopper, I was thinking that the black and white motif would put a modern spin on our bedroom, so really, Martha delivered the goods on that one.

Gayle, you made me smile. I had no idea that another person used the phrase "I bet you dollars to donuts" besides me. I use that all the time. If I recall, Mike enjoys a nice crisp percale on his bed at home, so, to borrow your phrase, I bet you dollars to donuts that he does have a little bit of Martha in his closet. I do have to say, that our sheets are very nice and soft, plus we got a great deal on them, which makes them even nicer and softer.

(quote) Oh, wow. Kathy (and Pingu), now I feel sooo bad.
I actually turned off the marathon yesterday to finish a book I was reading ("Lifeguard" by James Patterson). I can't believe I actually preferred reading to watching MIKE! Does this mean I have to turn in my DJMB membership card and decoder ring?? Is it possible Mike no longer gets under MY skin??? Tell me it isn't so!!

Liz (quote)

I turned off Dirty Jobs to watch The Music Man on TCM...one of my all time favorite musicals.

Guess my fandom will be called into question, too.

Rita,
If you were watching The Music Man, you are totally forgiven. That is by far one of the best musicals ever. I think Mike even said once that he wouldn't mind doing that one...lots of song and not so much dance.

Oh if someone has a link to those I have never seen them.

I like Martha more now than I ever did. She has come back from a very humbling experience and is a very smart woman. I don't really buy her stuff though.

Lisa, I don't think there were ever any links to clips from The View, which is probably just as well as the "ladies" did not treat him well. Joy, especially, acted as though he was still covered in dirt the second time he appeared on the show.

Martha Stewart has scared me since the whole insider trading thing. I do enjoy her bedding though.

I will admitt that I watched about a half an hour of DJ then I went out with my ex. Believe me that was an interesting day.

I did have some withdrawl symptoms though.
