(You know I love you like puppy breath and freshly buttered popcorn... so everything I say (type) next is out of love.)

Sweet Sweet Mike,

For the love of all that is good, holy and fashionably acceptable what is wrong with you, Big Guy?

First, I had to suffer through 4 episodes of you wearing that horrid, horrid stocking cap, tuque, toboggin or as the kids call them "beanie."

Bless your heart. That's just it, Precious... those things are for the younger set... not TV hosts over 45. I know, I know... you could argue that you wore it to keep warm, but surely the visual comfort of your viewers (mainly ME) should come before your selfish physical comfort.

I couldn't even pay attention to educational value of the different segments because I was so horrified (or was I amazed that they found one big enough for that huuuge noggin?).

So why the "beanie, " Sweet Cheeks?

Did Floyd (your blind barber in Baltimore) finally slip up and give you a buzz cut? Did you lose a bet? Did Magnum PI (aka Tom Selleck) finally threaten you with the nasty consequences of the newly passed TV Stud Trademark Hair Infringement Laws?

SECOND-- I can't even make myself write about that horrible shirt in tonight's episode. It was too disturbing... but at least there wasn't a "beanie" involved.
Nothin' but *love, Sweet Heart... nothin' but luuuuuuv!

You KNOW how much I love your hair flipping out of a baseball cap... If I didn't know you better I might take that beanie wearing as a personal slight.
Buuuuut, if there are more "beanie" segments... then do me a favor and have it blurred out... or have a CGI baseball cap put in it's place.

Please, do explain to me this ugly beanie habit you have developed... so I can go on with my life.

Jana (aka Bama)
PS OH! Sorry... better late than never... thanks for my b'day present... I loved it!
PPS How many times did I use "love" or "loved" in this post? Me thinks I've been away from the MB toooo long, Mr. Precious Pants!
(Yuck! Even that made ME sick... but I am ashamed to say I still mean it)

I think the hat was from the water tank job. Maybe they did this one shortly after and it's all they had packed. I think the hoddie from that job was in the dairy farm job.
Not sure.

Jana, how wonderful to see you posting!

Blurring the top of Mike's head will send the ratings through the roof. Although I like Mike in the skully (what the kids down here call 'em, Pilgrim). Now we're even for the PP remark. AND I liked the Hawaiian shirt-I actually did a double-take. Made me sit up and take notice! There-go ahead-now you can hate me.

I was thinking the same, Susan.

LOL love that name Fins!

Love ya!

Me-darlin Greeneyed Beaut,

I find that the Norcal cap is my fav...but you have to admit when Mike was in the tram teasing Barsky...wearing the beanie with his lower lip quivering as he said "it's so high"...he looked darling.

Good seeing you and please tell your Cale...DRAGON'S ROCK!

Yours In A "How About A Balaklava?" Rowe World,
Shari...hides to much face!
Raspy...prefers the fedora
D!ckies! Big Grin Cap lovin Pants!

Oh! Noooo!

What has happened to my dear friends!
Someone call 911~ Paramedics!!! I need paramedics!!! They've all gone blind... or worse >>GASP<< lost their fashion sense!!!!! Why God, WHY!?

Sorry, was I too harsh?

Pilgrim, to answer your question on how I have been.. well, I'm not dead.
And as far as YOU using the word precious to describe that hideous woven monstrosity... BLASPHEMER! (but I'll forgive you for using "Precious" in vain)

Melinda-loo... you don't care what he wears!?
Have I taught you NOTHING! You make me sad.

Judes... Hating you would be like hating ice cream... CRAZY!

SHARI!
Say it isn't so! I know the quivering lip thing... and I know how it works... I've used it for years and might I say it's gotten me out of some humdingers! But... I don't know if ANYTHING short of, "Jana, will you be my schmoopie?" could save him from that awful beanie mistake.

Susan7, I don't believe we have met... so "Hi!"

Aaaah!
I've missed everyone!

Jana
PS And Mike too.

Jana dearest,

No, I don't care what he wears, but I would be devastated if he got a haircut.

Shari and Raspy walk into the Mud Room and lower their heads...they are ashamed-ish...and still a bit queasy from the turkey episode.

Okay...Me-darlin Jana,

It is true...that on another bloke the beanie would just be...WRONG. You have to admit...now you do...seriously now that Mike on the Bering Sea in a turtleneck and a beanie is fab. (Raspy slinks away because he sides with Jana on this one).

If one darling greeneyedbeaut lived in a colder climate you would learn to embrace the beanie.

There will be a meeting of the "Beanie Anonymous" Next Monday night at 7:30. It will be followed by Johnathan Hillstrand doing a Crab Jig.

Yours In A "Fashion Sense" Rowe World,
Shari...in a beanie I would look like a thumb!
Raspy...fears the beanie
D!ckies! Big Grin

Melinda, there is hope for you yet.

My dearest Shari! If you could only see the look of disappointment on my face... I don't like ANYTHING covering the precious little toddler swirl of hair on the back of Mike's head EXCEPT a baseball cap where his remaining hair is free to curl up around its edges and behind his ear... when he gets sweaty...

Where am I? What's my name? Is it hot in here... I feel faint.
Oh yeah...

AND Mike in a turtleneck? LORD... NO!

As I was saying... I am sending that sweet little mudbug some Merlot!
Please don't tell him that I ate at the Cajun Steamer TWICE on my B'day. NONE of his relatives were involved. But I did enjoy my weight in crab legs... Thanks to the TIME BANDIT!

Mike, Sweat Heart, you know I'll take you in whatever you wear... but please show a girl with an artist's eye some courtesy and think before you dress.

Or at least do what I do before I get dressed... I look in the mirror and I say, "What would a Victoria's Secret model wear?" Wait maybe that won't work for you.

The last thing I need to see is YOU trying out for the Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Soooo Mike, the beanie? What gives?

Jana

The shirt was a bit distracting wasn't it. But to be honest there were too many good shots of his balding spot to really notice the shirt. Just makes you want to rub it for luck!

I love the knit cap. He wears the one he got from the water tower guys. It's cute and shows off the shape of his head. And has their very neato logo. The brunt umber pants, well I could do without those. Reminds me of my step-father's awful plaid shorts he would wear in the Summer. With the black knit socks, sandals and the plaid shirt of a different color and pattern than the shorts. He thought he was styling. Must be a guy thing.

Hello Janna

I have to disagree with you on one thing haven't seen Mike in a turtleneck but I think he'd look good.

I'm very sorry, Susan, but I feel compelled to invalidate your hypothesis.

Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, I give you Exhibit A.

I thought he looked cute. I saw the Deadliest Catch marathon on Mother's Day where he is wearing the beige one. Meow!
