....that I have really enjoyed the past several days here on the MB. Probably has something to do with Mike being around so much. But more so, I have loved reading everyone's posts. They have been lively and hillarious. Don't get me wrong, the philosophical and intellectual posts are great too. (I just can't contribute as much to those because I'm a dope).
I think the reason why there have been so many new posters around is because of the funny and sometimes cheeky comments. It is much less intimidating to come into those kinds of discussions. Believe me, I started posting around the time of the "Serial Monogamy" thread and stayed out until someone started a post about "poo". Much less intimdating.
Anyway, just bringing my internal thoughts out into the open. Don't really need anyone to reply. Just thinking out loud.
kelby (okay, I lied. I really do need someone to respond to this post. I hate to see a big fat "0" in the "replies" section of the MB. I hate rejection)
I for one am thoroughly enjoying myself! Besides, being serious all the time isn't healthy. I like philosophical and intellectual conversations too, but with 'serious' topics the language barrier starts getting in the way and I can't get my point across with the same nuances and wordplay I'd use in dutch. And I like language, so I don't want to present you people with some horribly mangled version of something that may have made sense at some point. So you guys do talk about stuff other than MR and DB?
You should just jump in. I have not noticed any dopiness in your posts! Your opinion and point of view is just as important as anyone else's on this mb and a lot MORE important than many!!
Kelby....underpants maven...Yes!.. you know you are!
That is what makes it so interesting and fun to be around here. We can disagree on the serious, deep, controversial issues but then totally agree that....well....that Doug is without question the best d@mn puker in the world. The man should get an Olympic Medal for the size ,distance and constant top quality of his b@rf. Then of course there is that other guy...
I too like the silly, fun topics. The thought provoking ones, although interesting, sometimes make my brain hurt and I go cross-eyed, which in turn makes it difficult to type.
I have a job which is sometimes emotionally taxing and this MB, and the discussions we have amongst ourselves, prove to be most helpful in getting me through some of the more difficult days. Plus, its a lot of fun.
I enjoy reading your posts, Kelby. You always seem to make me smile.
Okay, I have to go to the grocery store now. Don't say anything funny until I get back.
And if Mike shows up on board, for goodness sakes, page me! My pager number is 1-800-DIRTY-COLORADO-GAL. I know, it sounds like too many numbers, but trust me it will work.
Okay, I'm back. When did groceries get to be so expensive? It certainly costs more to eat healthy these days. And it certainly doesn't help that you can get a free cookie at the Bakery (oops, I almost said "the Barsky")everytime you're there. Hey, I know they are supposed to be just for kids, but I used a tissue to grab one. That's a lot more than I can say for some of the kids I see grabbing with their grubby little hands.
At first I thought I logged onto the wrong message board. Then I started reading about penguins with eating disorders getting botoxed. Then I thought, "Nope, I'm in right place."
Glad you're back. I'm getting bored. I saw that Mr. Barsky just posted over on his "little" board a few moments ago. I thought they were supposed to be working today. Something about maggot farming if I remember correctly? I think Barsky has been reading from Sarah's employee handbook...just sayin'
grasshopper ....I'm off today...and tonight too...yippee!
Hi grasshopper, Sorry you're bored. I was bored ahwile ago but then I found some munchies. Now I'm bored and fat.
I know, let's start "bumping" up some of the old threads from like 2006 just for the fun of it. I know, a bit silly but it would be fun to add some confusion to this MB.

Sarah's Employee Handbook
Chapter One
While sitting at one's computer, the illusion of productivity is best achieved when furiously typing on the keyboard so that those other individuals in the office can hear the tapping of the keys, however, it is imperative that said individuals are unable to view the screen upon which you are typing and are therefore impervious to the fact that you are contributing to a message board, rather than drafting the document due to the client by this afternoon, which is almost done, but still needs a couple of revisions.
Sarah, in your handbook don't forget to include instructions to alt-tab between screens. That's info all MBers need.
Kelby, I also think you should just jump in. Goodness knows I do, and I'm no philosophy guru. I'm just an opinionated wench. (You don't happen to have a link to the serial monogamy thread, do you? I'm a n00b and I missed it.)(Or just bump it, like you said!)
I would rather read a brain bending discussion of ethics and morals or climatology and geopolitics than a thread full of people arguing about who said what and what they meant by it. If I wanted to hear that I'd go join a raiding guild in World of Warcraft. Drama makes me unhappy.
Lynn
PS This doesn't get said said nearly enough: Doug is hot. Well, not so much when he's puking, but the rest of the time. Troy is hot too; even though I am not generally into blondes, I enjoyed seeing him strapped to a table in the alpaca episode. The haircut he wound up with was stunning.
Kelby... Yeah! what Lynn said. If you ever have anything to say about anything, just go ahead and chime in. It's not like anybody else actually knows what they're talking about anyways.
Except of course for Mike...HE knows EVERYTHING!...Mostly!....well almost everything. But he's cute and sweet and smart and funny and that's all that matters..... Oh and did I say he's cute...guess I did!
grasshopper ...and he has those marvellous eyes...
The Mud Room is entertaining, that's the reason why many people are posting. I have been frequently visiting the MB even before I became a member. You can actually feel different emotions while reading every posts and you will see different personalities. Now that I'm a member, the excitement comes when people actually responds to you especially..Mike.
