Nicole, I love Austin! Is it still weird? (I've always wanted one of those t-shirts.)
Lisa, let me know if you're coming here (Texas). Would love to say 'howdy' in person.
Becca(sue) Quotes for Lisa--"The earth laughs in flowers," and "The world is mud-luscious and puddle wonderful." (Both e.e. cummings)

Becca(sue) We're trying to hold on the the weird, but it's getting harder. Too many "others" moving in. Still the only place you can walk into a 5 star restaurant in flip-flops and cargo shorts. Dave would feel at home. Nicole

Emily and Tina,
I am making plans to be at the Smithsonian National Zoo on the 28th of June. My mission is to get some footage of the Hummingbirds in the aviary. If you would like to be a part of this project, let me know and I will bring extra hummingbird feeders for you.
I will have to check with the staff there to make sure that it's ok to do this but I still want to go no matter what, even if I will not be able to film.
Lisa <excited to meet you>

OK All who plan to visit at the Smithsonian National Zoo! I just spoke with the Zoo people and although they have a very nice website that stated they have a hummingbird aviary, They no longer have it so I will not be able to film anything there. The trip will be a fun one anyway-) I will still bring some feeders for you all to try at home-) See you on the 28th. Lisa

I am in Virginia, but CT isn't a bad drive for me. I'd love to join y'all up there. Maybe it'll be marginally less hot and horrible in New England. Washington DC is a swamp. April I wish I was out in nowhere with you. The suburb thing is getting old.
Can't wait to see y'all at the zoo!

Hi Lynn, and a belated welcome!
What part of Virginia do you live in? I grew up in Falls Church and went to college in Winchester. Now, though, I reside in eastern PA.

To all who plan on attendint the CT gathering on July 26th.
I have had a few responses but need to have a head count for those who will be here. Please e-mail me plantwhisperer01@yahoo.com if you are attending. If there are not enough people, I may switch over to Taz'z MD gathering-)
Thanks Lisa
I live in Northeast PA in the winters, summers at the Jersey shore and would love to get together. It's a little busy this month with all the graduations party's but certainly by mid July or Aug would be great. Susie
Wow, a lot of us here here in the east.
Susie, I live in NJ but also am down the shore all summer. What town are you in?
I personally think AC would be a great place for an East Coast Board meeting!

I sent you an email. Unfortunately I'm not able to go to CT. on that Saturday. Work just keeps getting in the way of my life.
I will be going to Silver Spring.
Email when you can.

Momac,
I will no longer be having the gathering here, rather in MD with Taz. I would love to meet you so lets make plans to get together.

Wait? I haven't been paying close enough attention. Where in MD? I heard DC mentioned, down that far? I am closer to MD than CT.
