So I am still lost, how do these auctions relate to area partners? Are the partners picked or not? Or are these events not related at all?

Any one actually know? All the press articles about the auction don't mention the partners or expansion. They make it sound like he is a traveling road show.

I see no correlation. I'm completely lost as to what is going on. We were told that the 10 area partners would be anounced in Jan and all we hear is about liquidation sensation? All we hear in the Charleston speach was how there was a hedge fund in the deal and how area partners this and area partners that. It's extremely frustrating to get strung along for as long as we have without any idea as to what is going on.

Why would I pay $500 to attend an auction? I can guarantee that most of these properties will already be on the MLS. The MLS is litterd with REO's and Short Sales now.

I'm actually in one of the 10 markets that the auctions is happening in and the funny thing is there is an auction in March not associated with Trademark and it is FREE!

The least they could do is let those who attended the "pep rally" in Charleston attend for free.

Sorry, you will not get another $500 bucks from me for something I can get FREE!

Fool me one shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.

Yeah, I fully agree with you. The funny thing is assume you had no other access than his auction.

Why would one ever pay the 500 until the list of properties was available? From the looks of the website you wont see the list either until a few days before the auction or possibly upon paying your 500 no refundable dollars. Who in their right mind would do this? All auctions I have ever participated in gave you the info atleast 30days prior... Of course they were also free...how ironic..

According to Charleston.net, you have to pay to play or to look.

To see what homes will be up for auction won't be cheap. The company is screening potential buyers and charging $500 to sign up for the auction and review the listings beforehand. The fee will be applied toward any successful bid.

I like others who attended the "speech" in Charleston have been following info on this site or lack thereof. I understand everyone's frustration with being told that something is going to happen by this date only to not get the information promised. To that end, no partners have been officially announced to those of us that Trademark has been emailing. There is an assumption that the Auction Markets will contain the first 10 partners which does make some sense. I think the question on the minds of those who were in Charleston is will the business model that was explained at the "speech" actually be incorporated with the first 10 partners. I've watched as others have defended Trademark and justify his actions for changing the business model to "auctions". However, this does not correlate to the information we had received up until the end of 2007. Time should tell and if I get any facts, I will be sure to share.
