I know this is the South but come on! It's the year 2007 and a major real estate company that has it's own show on a popular cable channel can't hire a minority in the front office. The only minorities I see are the guys doing the manual labor! I just watched the episode where they were trying to sell 300 condos in 1 day and all the agents trying to sell contracts were caucasian. I did see one black guy who appeared to be a potential customer (not employee). The scene where Richard had everyone in a restaurant talking about the big event was ridiculous, not one minority in the bunch. I guess the South will never change...

You need to get over yourself!!!! There is no need to go down the racist route at all. I do not think Richard is racist at all, I do know he does have a black woman working with him and possibly more.
I understand that there is some racism in some areas and I do not agree with it, but just because you do not see a minority doing sales or anything but manual labor does not mean that he is racist!!!

Your information is not completely factual. The average Russian living and working in the states earns 4.3 times the amount that a US citizen the same age makes. Show me one static of just one Russian immigrant accepting ANY government assistance and I will eat my words. A Russian man will starve to death before he accepts a hand out. My opinion on this board is completely unbiased because I am neither a white American or a black American. I’m on the outside looking in. Down in the southern regions it is the blacks receiving government assistance. My business partner owns and leases 28 (section 8 government assisted living) units downtown. All 28 are occupied by black Americans. Pass by the housing authority or the welfare office on any given day and compare colors. I’m no raciest! I consider myself a realist. My response to the other fellow was directed toward his type. Anyone who makes an ignorant statement like that falls into this category regardless of race. Absolutely nobody is owed anything. I am an American citizen with great pride. I’ll bet my red white and blue flag on my porch is bigger than yours. Here is the problem with his comment. He thinks “his type” is owed something simply based on race, not merit. Americans in general are lazy. Everyone wants to get rich but nobody wants to earn it. So many Americans simply expect it to be handed to them. You people have no idea how great you have it. Living in the USA, if you’re not as rich as you would like to be it is because you don’t want it bad enough. If you were to introduce Slavic work ethics into the American economy, the USA would be unstoppable. Work hard and it is yours-very simple. That is why I love Richard. One of the nicest faces that I met there was an African American woman who was just recently employed by Richard, and couldn't tell me how well she was treated, and loved everyone.....So

And while you search for info on a creditable site, why don’t you also look at how long these individual stay on welfare. I’ll bet it’s not a fraction of the time “minorities” spend in the system. USSR fell many years ago. Find some current statistics on the topic.

This is about Richard & Trademark's hiring practices. Just because they recently hired one black woman doesn't make everything right! No one said Tradmark employees were "mean" people; they seem to be the "nicest" racists in Charleston S.C.

I have already replied under another post but to the others I would like to ask everyone else to not to post anything else to this forum and let it die a slow death. If Joe has such a problem with it, let him get his own show with nothing but blacks. Of course then he will whine that no one is watching it and start yelling racism again!!!!!

So what. Richard owns the company! If he wants to hire 5,000 whites and help 5,000 more whites on his show who are you to say it is wrong. It is his money! I try so hard to understand your logic, I simply can't. If someone did not want to hire me based on race, so what. Maybe I will be made at them, but they don't owe me a job. If anyone comes into my office demanding a job based on race I will laugh them all the way to exit door.
