I have watched the last 3 episodes of this show and I don't think that I can watch any more. I find it to heartbreaking to see these mothers once again give up their dreams for their family. It seems really unfair and cruel to rekindle their dreams only to have them dashed because they either are not supported in by their family or they feel that they NEED to stay home. It must be very painful for them to go through that loss of self once again.
I would also like to add that stay-at-home dads are just as capable as moms. I stayed at home with my son for the first 1 1/2 years however I went back to work for financial reasons and my husband stayed home. I was able to make more money then he was so the reasonable decision was that I should return to work.
There seems to be a prejudice out there that only a mother's nuturing will produce healthy and stable children. I can tell you from experience that is not so. Men can and do provide the nurturing needed - even if they don't quite do things the way that we would
With this show I would like to see the husband decide to put his career on hold so that his wife can live her dreams. Why is it always the woman who has to give up things or sacrifice? Why can't the man do it?
