I am a widow that always worked. I asked my teens last night that were in day care if they liked it and they said "yes and I will definitely put my kids in day care too". They had lots of fun there. I have a great paying job and being a widow, I can support my family very well. I know a lot of woman that are stuck in an unhappy situation because they cannot afford to be on their own. That's a bad situation for the mom and the kids.

I am amazed by women like you. Seriously. I work with 6 or 7 single moms (that I can think of off the top of my head) and I'm just always amazed at how they do it. It's a little humbling actually. I'm married, I work full time, I have two boys, ages 6 and 3, and I really can't imagine doing it by myself. Of course anything can happen and I could end up in your shoes one day. I have the utmost respect for women (men too) who are single, working full time to support their kids, and their kids are still happy and well balanced (imagine that!). Yours sound like they are. Wink
