I'm a man who happily stayed at home for 3 years with my children and I'm sooo happy to be back at work. My personal experience and opinion is after the kids are in school (be it pre-school or real-school) there is no reason to be at home, how can you be a stay at home mom when the the kids aren't there? Get out and do something! and that doesn't mean 'helping' out in the schools. There are way to many moms in the schools now, it's a scary trend and it needs to stop. I think a lot of these woman who argue against working are threatened by woman who have skills beyond just being a care giver. I was a stay at home dad and I found it very easy.
